Managing complex digital transformation projects, leading testing and system integration, and overseeing sales operations. | Extensive experience in project management, sales leadership, and technology implementation, but lacks specific EMC/EMI testing or regulatory environment experience. | Overview Element has an opportunity for a Business Development Manager responsible for named accounts within the Detroit Metro area. In this role you will be responsible for pursuing sales opportunities to sell the full breadth of Element services within specified accounts in order to meet their assigned budget. You will support strategic or key accounts within your specified territory with any activities needed at local sites. Responsibilities Establish and proactively maintain a strong professional relationship with key decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts within the EMC / EMI testing and compliance space Drive profitable sales expansion with a focus on acquiring new and re-engaging with dormant accounts, while growing existing clients Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to determine customer needs Identify opportunities early in the sales cycle to ensure maximum share of wallet for Element Deliver business development related presentations, negotiate, and close business with nominated accounts, working in coordination with location business development resources Provide positive leadership and representation of Element to the public, customers, vendors, and to all employees through membership in professional organizations, serving on company project teams, conducting employee meetings and visiting work areas and interacting with employees. Represent company at industry association meetings to promote company and services offered Prepare reports and presentations showing sales volume by sector, region, location, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion Follow up in a timely manner on quotations for the assigned customer base Achieve sales goals by converting, retaining and penetrating accounts Work closely with other sales roles and utilizes technical support to maximize the sales realized in the territory Lead access and persuasion steps in sales process, including qualifying, relationship building, needs evaluation, solution development/presentation and closing Identify full customer test needs to uncover additional opportunities within accounts across Element Actively utilize CRM to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, duplicates are removed, new information is added and accurate call / visit logs are entered Actively participate in regular pipeline reviews, ensuring all CRM records are up to date and critical success factors are identified for key opportunities Build and maintain a working knowledge of Element's service offerings; participate in training/coaching opportunities Ensure compliance with all Element policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, trade compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and employee handbook Ensure adherence to all applicable laws pertaining to safety, environment and corporate governance Skills / Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline preferred; other four-year technical degrees will be considered 10+ years of technical experience with direct, quota-carrying sales responsibilities, including consultative or technical selling of testing services Demonstrated experience in EMC / EMI testing, compliance, or regulatory environments strongly preferred Experience interpreting EMC standards, test procedures, and regulatory requirements, and translating them into customer test strategies and commercial proposals Prior experience in a testing, certification, or TIC environment preferred; exposure to wireless, safety, environmental, or system-level testing is a plus Experience in interpreting testing procedures and requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Dynamics AX and CRM, Word, Excel) Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events / projects in the community, with customers and within the company Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities Well-developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs Good interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual respect Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; helps develops proposals including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions Ability to travel up to 75% of the time; some overnight travel may be required #LI-TF1 Company Overview Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world. Manage and optimize websites using CMS, support SEO projects, and train stakeholders. | Minimum 2-3 years experience in website management or digital marketing, familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO, and analytics tools. | Overview Working as part of a small CMS team, you will support the Digital team in maintaining and optimizing Element's portfolio of websites and digital platforms. Your expertise in Optimizely CMS and SEO best practices will be essential as you manage day-to-day content operations, train stakeholders, and ensure quality standards across all digital properties. This is a remote position based in the United States. A key differentiator of this role is providing timezone coverage for USA requirements when the EMEAA team is offline, with a strong emphasis on developing and applying SEO expertise alongside the Senior SEO Specialist. Responsibilities • Manage daily CMS operations using Optimizely (Episerver), including uploading content, creating pages, and maintaining site structure and code quality. • Review and approve content change requests through the CMS, ensuring submissions meet quality guidelines and SEO best practices. • Assist the Senior SEO Specialist with SEO projects, including technical SEO crawls and audits and keyword optimization, applying current best practices. Cover for them in periods of absence to ensure projects keep progressing. • Support the day-to-day running of the web content process and board, managing requests and ensuring timely delivery. • Perform regular website and content audits to identify missing elements, broken links, or issues, and areas for UX improvement; work with stakeholders to resolve. • Train and support marketing teams and stakeholders in using the CMS system effectively. • Monitor error and downtime reports, troubleshoot issues, and escalate complex problems to the Web Agency or Platforms Manager as appropriate, with clear briefs. • Provide responsive timezone coverage for USA requirements when EMEAA team is offline. • Support the Global Digital Director, Platforms Manager, and wider Digital team with ad-hoc tasks as needed. • Keep current with developments in CMS technology and SEO practices, particularly AI and algorithm updates. • Always operate in accordance with Element's Purpose and values and Element's policies procedures and standards at all times. Review and validate aerospace purchase orders ensuring technical, contractual, and compliance requirements are met before processing. | Requires 2+ years aerospace purchasing/order entry experience, knowledge of aerospace OEMs, certifications, and standards like AS9100, ITAR, DFARS. | Overview Element is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Administrator to join our aerospace team. This position is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and validating purchase orders (POs) from aerospace customers to ensure all technical, contractual, and compliance requirements are met prior to order acceptance and processing. Salary: $20- $22/hr DOE Responsibilities • Review incoming aerospace purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with company capabilities, pricing, and terms. • Verify all technical data such as part numbers, revisions, drawings, certifications, specifications, and special process requirements. • Ensure compliance with Prime, FAA, and/or DoD customer requirements. • Confirm customer flowdown requirements and coordinate internally with Quality, Engineering, Sales, and Operations as needed. • Identify discrepancies or unclear requirements and proactively communicate with customers for clarification or revision. • Log, track, and archive all reviewed POs and related documentation per internal procedures. • Assist in maintaining accurate ERP system data including customer records, PO status, and delivery schedules. • Support audits and customer quality inquiries related to PO documentation or order entry.
