The design incorporates extensive and intensive green roofs (with solar, coordinated by a green roof consultant) and a strong emphasis on high-performance building assemblies. Scope of Work We are seeking a freelance or independent specification writer to prepare a short-form specification package (approximately 20–40 pages) to accompany the construction documents. The package should cover: • Exterior envelope assemblies (cladding, roofing, waterproofing) • Window and door specifications • Green roof assemblies (in collaboration with our green roof/solar consultant) • Interior finishes (flooring, tile, paint) • Performance criteria to ensure clarity for the contractor during construction What We Provide • Overall design and drawings in progress • Preliminary material preferences and product ideas • Green roof/solar consultant for technical input Qualifications • Prior experience writing architectural specifications (residential or institutional) • Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat and construction documents • Knowledge of high-performance envelope assemblies preferred • Ability to work remotely and deliver concise, clear documentation Compensation This is a flat-fee engagement for a defined scope of work.
