Validate early childhood programs' self-reflections and documentation, and support quality improvement efforts. | Requires an associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of early childhood standards, and proficiency with data systems. | Description Position Title: Validator Location: Remote work based in Michigan with occasional travel within the state Schedule: Example: Monday - Friday Salary Range: $48,996-$59,884 Class: Non-Exempt Position Summary: The Validator supports the Great Start to Quality Validation process to ensure fidelity to the Great Start to Quality model through the Validation of a program’s Self-Reflection responses and corresponding documentation. The Validator creates relationships with educators to support them on their journey to provide high-quality childcare for the families of Michigan’s children. Key Responsibilities: • Validate program Self-Reflections for Great Start to Quality following established protocols and procedures including scheduling and conducting Validation calls with each program. • Accurately input data, maintain detailed records, and prepare written reports summarizing validation results in accordance with established protocols. • Collaborate with internal teams and providers to interpret findings, offer guidance, and support the development of quality improvement plans across diverse early learning environments. • Supporting marketing and technical assistance for GSQ through exhibiting, presenting at conference, webinars, and other opportunities, specifically with external partners. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: This list is intended to represent job related duties and should not be viewed as exhaustive. • Conduct validations of program Self-Reflections, including scheduling, documentation review, and provider communication. • Input validation data accurately and in a timely manner in the GSQ system. • Prepare clear, detailed reports of findings in line with established protocols. • Participate in document reviews related to appeals and feedback processes. • Advise Quality Improvement Manager to support providers in developing improvement plans. • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and uphold data quality standards. • Respond to inquiries and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely program support. • Participate in team meetings and workgroups to support program improvement efforts. • Meet regularly with supervisors to report progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities. • Maintain tool reliability and system knowledge through ongoing professional development. Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Associate degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience; 5 years for Level II; Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field preferred. • Knowledge of Great Start to Quality indicators, standards, and documentation requirements. • Experience with MiRegistry and professional development systems. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. • Proficient in data entry, reporting, and use of technology systems. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and web-based applications. • Knowledge of Developmental Screenings, Curricula, and Child Assessments • Knowledge of Great Start to Quality indicators and documentation requirements. • Knowledge of Michigan's Early Childhood Standards of Quality and Michigan Out-of-School Time Standards of Quality. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, it is required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Design, deliver, and evaluate training and technical assistance for regional child care coalitions, manage partnerships, lead reporting and policy analysis, and supervise staff. | Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 5+ years work experience including 3+ years training/facilitation and 1+ year supervisory experience, strong communication, relationship building, and commitment to equity. | Description: Position Title: Program Manager, Regional Child Care Coalition Location: Remote work based in Michigan with occasional travel within the state Schedule: Monday - Friday Salary Range: $67,411–$74,152 Class: Exempt Position Summary: The goal of ECIC’s Child Care Innovation Fund is to reimagine Michigan’s child care system through common-sense, cross sector solutions. The Program Manager, Regional Child Care Coalitions, works closely with the Senior Director of the Child Care Innovation Fund, Innovation Fund Team members and with external partners to advance child care innovations and related policy changes at the state, regional and local levels. The Program Manager will design, deliver, and evaluate all forms of technical assistance and training for Regional Child Care Coalitions, including but not limited to: • Designing and delivering individual and group capacity building opportunities for Regional Child Care Coalitions to support the successful implementation of regional child care action plans. • Identifying and overseeing the work of technical assistance, training and evaluation partners and collaborators. • Reviewing and approving delivery of content expertise and resources to Regional Child Care Coalitions, state agencies, and other external partners via training, consultation, facilitation, webinars, and other methods of technical assistance and training. • Supporting Regional Child Care Coalition data collection and evaluation activities, including the coordination and implementation of continuous quality improvement. • Leading development of high-quality reports, policy analysis, issue briefs, explanations, and presentations, necessary to support effective implementation of Regional Child Care Coalitions. • Developing and implementing work plans for Regional Child Care Coalition related projects, track and review Regional Coalition deliverables, effectively coordinating with all internal ECIC partners across departments. Requirements: • Designing and facilitating meetings with external partners to support the design and scale up of innovations. • Provide ongoing communication and coordination with external partners and contractors. • Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and research to share with clients and to continuously improve services and offerings. • Cultivate and manage new and existing relationships with innovation partners at the national, state, regional and local levels of the early childhood system. • Present at conferences, curate, and disseminate research, best practices, and resources, respond to external questions and requests, and network at local, regional, statewide and national early childhood programs and events. • Write proposals and grant applications, with the Senior Director, to advance strategic goals. • Supervise staff, provide performance coaching including, but not limited to, conducting performance evaluations, providing ongoing feedback, and supporting professional development goals. • Provide administrative approval of staff reports, timecards, time-off requests and expense reimbursements. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience. • Five (5) years of work experience, including at least three (3) years in training, facilitation, and coaching as a consultant and one (1) year of supervisory experience. • Ability to effectively supervise and coach teams. • Demonstrated success in the development and implementation of training and technical assistance programming on a statewide or national scale. • Specialties in training and/or technical assistance applicable to early childhood systems-building that are marketable to current/ potential ECIC clients. • Demonstrated commitment to racial equity as well as family and parent leadership. • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills. • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally both verbally and in writing. • Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while managing multiple tasks, projects, and timelines. • Ability to use data and analytical skills to proactively identify opportunities, set priorities, and solve problems.
