About the Role We're looking for an HR Manager to build our HR function from scratch. You'll own recruiting, onboarding, compensation, performance management, and compliance as we scale from approximately 20 people to 50+ over the next year. This is a foundational role where you'll have significant impact on company culture and how we attract, develop, and retain exceptional talent. You'll work directly with the CEO to shape our people strategy and build the infrastructure that supports rapid, sustainable growth in a mission-critical healthcare environment. What You'll Do Manage full-cycle recruiting, initially partnering with external recruiters and building internal capability as needed Build comprehensive onboarding programs that set new hires up for success and reinforce our culture Develop compensation benchmarking and leveling frameworks that are competitive, equitable, and scalable Implement performance management processes that drive growth, accountability, and alignment Ensure compliance across multi-state employment, contractor classification, benefits administration, and healthcare-specific regulations Handle employee relations with empathy, fairness, and legal rigor Partner with leadership to define organizational structure and workforce planning Build and maintain HR systems and tools that scale (HRIS, ATS, performance management platforms) Develop policies and employee handbook that reflect our values while protecting the company Drive initiatives around diversity, equity, and inclusion Who You Are 7+ years of HR experience, including leadership or senior individual contributor roles Startup experience required—comfortable building without a large team or established playbook Deep knowledge of multi-state employment law and compliance requirements Proven experience building HR processes and infrastructure from scratch Strategic thinker who can balance long-term culture building with immediate operational needs Strong business partner who understands how HR enables company objectives Excellent judgment in sensitive situations requiring discretion and sound decision-making Hands-on operator who can move between strategy and execution seamlessly Exceptional communicator who builds trust across all levels of the organization Nice to Have Healthcare industry experience and understanding of healthcare workforce dynamics Experience scaling teams through Series A/B growth stages Familiarity with equity compensation structures and administration Background supporting technical teams (engineering, product, data science) Experience with remote and hybrid workforce management Professional certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) Knowledge of HIPAA and healthcare privacy requirements as they relate to HR Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $130K-$170K + Equity New York City | On-site Join our NYC team and work directly with leadership to build a world-class people organization. The Role We’re hiring a Sr. Manager or Associate Director of SEO to own our organic growth engine across technical SEO, content strategy, and domain authority. This is a hands-on leadership role: part builder, part operator, part strategist. The ideal candidate has experience scaling organic programs from 100K → 5M+ visits, especially in competitive categories like healthcare, fintech, or consumer AI. You’ll work cross-functionally with product, engineering, AI writers, and medical advisors to scale authority-backed content, programmatic SEO, and technical visibility. Key Responsibilities Technical SEO/AEO • Own site architecture, crawlability, canonicalization, and structured data • Manage sitemap indexing, redirects, and duplicate content at scale • Partner with devs on core vitals, page speed, and scalable internal linking • Full backlink strategy ownership in volume Organic Growth Strategy • Build Doctronic’s long-term SEO roadmap: performance benchmarks, traffic mix, and crawl budgets • Define growth themes and categories across high-intent, evergreen, and headless content • Develop authority and backlink strategies in tandem with PR & influencer Content & Programmatic SEO • Manage editorial calendar of AI-generated, medically-reviewed content • Lead content structuring: metadata, schema, slug taxonomy, and internal linking • Scale programmatic SEO via AI + structured content templates (e.g., symptom checkers, FAQs, reviews) • SEMrush, Ahrefs, Airops (and similar martech tooling) Measurement & Experimentation • Own SEO dashboard and reporting: traffic, indexation, keyword movement, authority • Monitor crawl health, log files, and competitor movements • Identify technical issues impacting ranking and fix proactively KPIs for Success • Increase organic traffic MoM for all organic placements • Improve indexed page ratio and reduce crawl waste • Achieve 1K+ top 3 keyword rankings within first 6 months • Launch 5+ programmatic content tentpole campaigns types/month • Scale & Improve backlink authority and trust signals (DA/DR) You’ll Thrive If You: • Have 5–10 years SEO experience, ideally at a high-growth startup or B2C brand • Have built and ranked thousands of URLs through technical + content levers • Are highly technical and fluent in site architecture, GSC, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and index optimization • Know how to manage AI content engines (e.g., GPT/Claude) with human QA and schema markup • Have experience working with web developers, CMSs (Statamic or similar), and structured data • Can distinguish between noise and signal in a rapidly changing SEO landscape Bonus Points • Experience in YMYL/healthcare, programmatic SEO, or publishing 1,000+ AI-powered articles • Familiarity with tools like SurferSEO, Clearscope, ContentKing, JetOctopus, or Python scripts for SEO • You’ve done a successful GSC + programmatic + backlink combo campaign before Compensation Range: $120K - $180K
