We are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead our Narrative Editing team, focused on the product experiences that enable creators to tell their story through both live and generative AI content creation and Descript’s flagship script-based editing experience. About the team: The Narrative Editing team owns the collection of product experiences that enable creators to tell their story. The team owns Descript’s flagship script-based editing experience, which changed the landscape of video editing tools by making storytelling-based content creation accessible to beginner creators, and lightning-fast for experts. While AI-based video editing has provided optionality to creators across all parts of the Descript product, this team has the unique opportunity to partner closely with AI infrastructure and research teams to evaluate, integrate, and operate both internal and external models that make it even easier and faster for creators to produce high caliber content.
