Oversee aircrew ground and flight training/testing standards for an air carrier, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. | Must have experience in aviation operations, FAA regulations, and flight crew training management. | Job Summary The Aircrew Program Manager (APM) is responsible for the adequacy of aircrew ground and flight training/testing and standards for specific aircraft of an assigned air carrier. Major Duties The incumbent will perform professional engineering duties/responsibilities of which are to advise on, administer, supervise, or perform research or other professional and scientific work to protect life and property from destructive fire. The work typically involves: (1) Assessment and prediction of fire hazards or risks; (2) Mitigation of fire damage by proper design, construction, and arrangement of facilities; (3) Research, development, and testing of fire protection technologies (e.g., halon and water mist applicators); (4) Design, construction, inspection, testing, and operation of fire detection and fire suppression apparatus, appliances, devices, and systems; and (5) Assessment of fire protection requirements.
