Technical Program Manager 2, Technical Solutions

DatadogSan Francisco, California, Boston, Massachusetts, New York, New YorkFull-time
View Job
Compensation$70K - 120K a year

Lead technical programs to improve customer-facing teams through tooling and process improvements, coordinating stakeholders and managing project delivery. | 3-5 years leading technical programs in SaaS, bachelor's degree in CS or related field, proficiency with AI tools and data-driven decision making. | We are seeking a motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager II to join Datadog’s Technical Solutions organization. This organization is made up of 1,200+ customer-facing technical experts around the world — including Sales Engineers, Technical Account Managers, Support Engineers, and Solution Architects — who work with prospects and customers throughout their journey with Datadog to deliver outstanding experiences and drive growth through product adoption. As a Technical Program Manager II, you will lead and support a variety of technical programs that help these customer-facing teams work more effectively. Depending on the needs of the organization, this could include programs related to internal tooling, process improvement, knowledge and content systems, or other cross-functional initiatives. You’ll partner closely with team leads, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to bring structure and clarity to moderately complex, cross-team programs, and you’ll act as a multiplier for the teams you support by driving programs from planning through delivery. Candidates who have previously led projects for customer-facing technical teams are especially encouraged to apply. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You’ll Do Drive delivery of cross-team programs that support one or more Technical Solutions teams — coordinating stakeholders, dependencies, and timelines to keep work on track from kickoff through delivery. Partner with team leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate program goals into clear, actionable plans, and document scope, timeline, and quality expectations along the way. Establish and maintain program management fundamentals — project trackers, status updates, risk logs — so stakeholders always have visibility into progress and blockers. Identify unclear or incomplete requirements early and bring structure to ambiguous problems, escalating only when needed to keep execution on track. Use data to track progress against milestones, surface risks, and guide decisions; adjust plans as circumstances change. Apply AI tools to streamline your own program management workflows — synthesizing updates, surfacing patterns in program data, or accelerating documentation — and help identify where AI can improve processes for the teams you support. Communicate program status, risks, and impact clearly to stakeholders at different levels, adapting your message for technical and non-technical audiences. Look for opportunities to improve how programs and processes run, and contribute ideas that make execution more efficient over time. Who You Are Program Management Experience: 3-5 years of experience leading technical programs in a SaaS or technical environment, ideally including cross-team or cross-functional initiatives. Experience supporting customer-facing or technical support functions is a plus. Execution-Oriented: Comfortable driving moderately complex, cross-team initiatives independently, with the judgment to seek guidance on larger or more ambiguous efforts. Solid foundation in project scoping, timeline management, and risk management; PMP, Agile training, or equivalent certification preferred. Data-Informed: Tracks progress against established metrics and uses data to guide decisions, report status, and identify risks early. Clear Communicator: Able to convey project status and ideas concisely to a range of audiences, from peers to senior stakeholders, adapting the level of detail as needed. Collaborative: Builds trust through consistent delivery; works constructively across teams to resolve differing viewpoints and unblock progress. Comfortable with Ambiguity: Able to identify unclear requirements, ask the right questions, and bring structure to partially-defined problems. AI Fluency: Uses AI tools confidently in day-to-day program work and can evaluate where AI can be responsibly and effectively applied to improve program processes. Growth-Oriented: Developing skill in giving constructive, empathetic feedback; may support the onboarding or mentorship of newer team members. Technical Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience. Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply. Compensation$60K - 85K a year

Manage account distribution and optimize sales operations while integrating AI workflows and providing data-driven insights. | Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years experience in GTM, Revenue, or Sales Operations and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills. | The GTM Strategy & Operations Analyst will join a global team driving Datadog’s next phase of growth. We are interdisciplinary thinkers with diverse backgrounds across investment banking, management consulting, investment management, strategy, and operations. Our team partners directly with Datadog’s senior leaders to set growth strategy, improve business efficiency, support data-driven decision-making, and run complex operations across the company. In this role, you will be embedded within Sales as a dedicated operational partner to field managers and Account Executives. You will help manage account flow across sellers, support day-to-day field operations, and stay close to the sales floor to understand the challenges sellers face. You will use those insights to build processes, analyses, and lightweight tools that help the field move faster and operate more effectively. A key focus of this role will be identifying opportunities to incorporate AI into core workflows to improve both the speed and quality of operational support. At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them. What You'll Do: Own core account management processes for a Sales segment, including account distribution, account movement, account prioritization, and coverage optimization across teams and AEs. Serve as a subject matter expert on account management operations, advising sales leaders on territory structure, account flow, and opportunities to improve seller coverage. Support field decision-making through business reporting and analysis, including quarterly business reviews, performance metrics, root cause analysis, pipeline health, and coverage gap identification. Act as the dedicated operational point of contact for regional AEs and frontline managers, handling ad hoc operational requests and supporting Salesforce hygiene, including opportunity updates, field accuracy, and pipeline cleanliness. Resolve Rules of Engagement conflicts as an impartial advisor to the field, balancing speed, fairness, and alignment to Datadog’s core sales processes. Experiment with and embed AI into field support workflows, including prototyping lightweight automations, AI-assisted analyses, and ecosystem integrations that help AEs and managers take faster, better-informed action. Develop a deep understanding of seller workflows and operational pain points, then design process improvements and build business cases for enhancements based on field-observed inefficiencies. Partner with Revenue Operations and Global Strategy & Operations to ensure process changes, tooling updates, and data governance decisions are implemented cleanly and adopted by the field. Who You Are: Bachelor’s degree. 1-3 years of experience in GTM, Revenue, Sales Operations, Strategy & Operations, or a related analytical role, ideally within a SaaS or high-growth B2B technology company. Strong analytical skills, with experience using Excel or Google Sheets to organize data, conduct analysis, and generate insights. Effective written and verbal communicator who can clearly explain operational issues, recommendations, and next steps to cross-functional partners. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple requests, track follow-through, and maintain accuracy in fast-moving environments. Self-starter with a strong work ethic, high ownership, and the ability to operate independently with guidance. Curious learner who enjoys picking up new tools, systems, and business processes. Collaborative problem-solver who enjoys working closely with others to improve how teams operate. Bonus Points: Experience working directly with frontline sales teams in a field-facing operations role. Prior experience with GTM functions, revenue operations, sales strategy, or growth strategy initiatives. Experience using Salesforce or other CRM systems. Familiarity with AI/LLM tools, prompt engineering, workflow automation, or lightweight tool prototyping. Datadog values people from all walks of life.
