Overview The AI Automation Analyst / Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and maintaining AI-driven automations that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across the enterprise. In addition to delivery responsibilities, this role leads and coordinates the AI Steering Committee, helping shape AI priorities, governance, and roadmap alignment across business and IT stakeholders. This role combines technical execution, process analysis, and enterprise AI leadership without direct people management. Key Responsibilities AI Automation Delivery (Individual Contributor) Design, build, and support AI-enabled automations using low-code, RPA, APIs, and AI services Implement document intelligence, data extraction, classification, and workflow automation solutions Integrate AI automations with ERP, HRIS, finance, and other enterprise systems Develop scripts and logic (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to support automation workflows Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automations for reliability and performance AI Strategy & Steering Committee Leadership Serve as a key member of the AI Steering Committee, including meeting facilitation, agenda setting, and follow-up actions Partner with business and IT leaders to identify, prioritize, and govern AI use cases Establish standards for responsible AI use, security, data handling, and compliance Maintain an enterprise AI roadmap aligned to business value and risk tolerance Ensure visibility and transparency into AI initiatives across the organization Business Partnership & Analysis Work directly with CCR Development, Solutions, Finance, HR, Operations, M&A, Legal, and IT stakeholders to understand processes and opportunities Translate business requirements into technical automation designs Document workflows, data flows, controls, and dependencies Measure and report automation outcomes (time saved, cost reduction, accuracy improvements) Governance, Risk & Controls Ensure AI automations comply with security, privacy, and access control standards Implement monitoring, logging, testing, and change management practices Support audit, compliance, and risk review activities related to AI solutions Required Qualifications Technical Familiarity with Microsoft CoPilot, Power Automate, ChatGPT, Zapier, Agentic AI Experience building or configuring Microsoft Copilot Agents or using Copilot Studio Familiarity with Microsoft 365 integrations and SharePoint, Teams, or Dynamics workflows Hands-on experience with automation platforms (Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.) Experience integrating SaaS systems using APIs and webhooks Familiarity with AI/ML services (LLMs, OCR, document intelligence, NLP) Working knowledge of Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages Understanding of enterprise data formats and basic SQL Experience with ERP, AP, HRIS, or financial systems (NetSuite, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, ADP) Leadership & Communication Experience leading cross-functional working groups or committees Thrives in fast-paced environments with a fail fast and iterative approach mindset Strong communication and facilitation skills Comfort presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience developing AI governance frameworks or standards Experience with enterprise automation governance programs Experience with AI-assisted tools or workflow augmentation Ability to create documentation and user training materials Success Metrics Successful delivery and adoption of AI automations Measurable reduction in manual effort and errors Alignment and prioritization of AI initiatives through the steering committee Compliance with AI governance and security standards Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables Location: The preferred location for this role is in office at Durham, NC or Washington, DC. Overview Cypress Creek, a renewable energy project developer and owner (the "Company") is seeking a Project Manager of Pre-Construction reporting to the Director of Pre-Construction. The Project Manager Pre-Construction works collaboratively with Development and Execution to support construction due diligence, including constructability reviews, risk analyses, developing project schedules, reviewing budgets & capex estimates, and analyses of EPC RFP's. Also responsible for reviewing and addressing the up-front construction and execution-related issues early in the project life cycle to ensure all stakeholders are aligned so that projects are executed on time and within budget. Oversees managing the RFI and RFP processes for all assigned projects to move them from the development phase to the execution phase. Formally turns over the executed contract to the Director of Project Execution. Responsibilities • Works closely with Development to help review and address upfront construction and execution-related issues earlier in the project lifecycle, including constructability assessments, site visits, permitting, collaboration with JHA's, and general collaboration and support of the early to mid-stage projects • Leads development of detailed baseline Project schedules which incorporate the appropriate durations necessary for each of the respective teams to perform and complete their work including contingencies • Provides input and review of pipeline project schedules for investment approval projects • Support the completion of preliminary engineering specifications for construction and supply contracts • Contribute to the development of detailed project management and construction strategy including implementation plans, budgets, and schedules • Manage the EPC RFP process including the scoping, identification, evaluation, selection, and final approval • Lead EPC contract execution including early-stage engineering and design in conjunction with legal, contract management, and execution • Participate in the identification and selection of suppliers • Coordinate with Cost Estimating & Controls to develop and maintain project budgeting and cash spend forecasts • Manage the integration and alignment of all project stakeholders – host weekly project status meetings • Develop effective relationships with contractors and suppliers to support the execution strategy • Embrace and live by the mission and values of Cypress Creek Renewables • Additional duties as required Education & Experience Required • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management; or equivalent years of experience in construction, project planning and execution of large utility-scale, power plant projects • 3-5 years in the renewable energy sector or industrial construction or capital project management • Advanced knowledge of construction management and constructing methods for large projects, contract management, procurement, and supply chain management, environmental and building permitting, and transportation logistics • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining critical path method schedules • Extensive experience with EPC and BOP construction contracting; including RFP process, bid review, and negotiation of contract terms; renewable energy contracting experience is highly preferred • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Project • Basic knowledge of construction labor relations throughout the US • Works well under pressure and on a deadline, enjoys working with a variety of people Location: This position is fully remote in Houston, Texas, with an expected 30%-50%+ travel time to projects located across Texas, Colorado, Washington and New York.
