Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Material Handler (MRO) will be responsible for processing inbound and outbound shipment activities. Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM What a typical day looks like: • Load and unload deliveries using forklifts, dollies, or hand trucks in a safe manner. • Verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing department per company policy. • Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions. • Stage received material and product in appropriate location. • Create shipping and receiving receipts within system. • Performs inspections on received material and product; document and refuse delivery if material and product does not meet quality standards. • Maintains inventory management systems to ensure that orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments, as required. • Stages product in appropriate staging area for pick up by shipping carrier. • Performs other related duties, as assigned. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Materials Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials among departments to ensure production schedules and deadlines are met. Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Responsibilities: • Pre-production planning and support: • Review all materials to establish the project material status for Project readiness signoff on proposed production dates • Follow up with vendors and buyers regarding lead times for materials and obtain tracking information; coordinate delivery dates, as needed. • Follow up on any items showing short by working with Purchasing and engineering to get a resolution in place • Update the status of the materials and ETAs in the ERP system to provide visibility to downstream processes • Attend weekly production meetings and provide accurate information regarding material lead times and any issues that could potentially affect production • Active Project production Support: Tracks material shortages and maintain a complete material shortage report along with resolution status on those items • Interfaces and coordinates with various departments to resolve material and capacity constraints • Attend daily production walk-through meetings to identify any material issues that could potentially affect production • Notify appropriate internal teams (project managers, production managers, etc.) of any issues and material shortages that could potentially affect production • Manage the log for material borrows between projects and get appropriate visibility • Post-Production Support: Document and verify all ship loose material and items are accounted for prior to shipment of manufacturing projects • Review all left over items and establish a disposition plan for those items • Review all open transactions and evaluate actions towards closing out all project transactions • Root cause reasons for material shortages • Research discrepancies associated with invoices • Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent • 4+ years’ experience in planning, production, inventory, or expediting • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and an MRP/ERP System • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Physical Requirements: • Periods of standing, walking, and sitting at a desk using a computer • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at a time. • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor • Site Flex is an Equal Opportunity Employer and employment selection decisions are based on merit, qualifications, and abilities. Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Responsibilities: • Provide administrative and clerical support to the purchasing department. • Research vendors and collects pricing, quotes, specifications, and other data related to goods and services; update database as needed to ensure accurate pricing of goods and services. • Creates and issues purchase orders in a timely manner and without error. • Processes stock order transfers for job kitting requests in ERP System. • Obtain lead times from suppliers and update ERP System with PO ETA. • Review open orders and monitor shipments to ensure that the delivery of product is on time; communicate and document shipping delays. • Request SKU creation, SKU updates, and SKU reactivation for items within the ERP System. • Establishes and maintains recordkeeping system for purchasing department. • Works with other departments, including engineering, for sourcing and cut sheet support. • Performs other duties as assigned.
