To achieve this, we need to build an amazing team and that’s where you come in… We are looking to hire a Backend Software Engineer with a strong work ethic and a passion for building new software. This candidate will take ownership of key services and features in the backend of our product suite. Given the nature of our products at Cross Screen Media, we have complex and engaging problems that demand a diverse skill set. Our engineers are expected to embrace modern development practices, including leveraging the latest AI tools and workflows to accelerate development, improve quality, and unlock new capabilities. The right candidate will enjoy taking on a variety of responsibilities, creating innovative solutions to unique challenges, and working with large and complex datasets. We’re currently accepting 100% remote employees. Engineering leadership is local to Dallas, TX and Austin, TX; there may be hybrid opportunities for candidates in those areas. Key Responsibilities: Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs in Python/Django. Take ownership of assigned features and services, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and well-documented. Work with Postgres for application data and integrate with Snowflake for analytics workloads. Contribute to schema design and provide input on pipelines to ensure backend features interoperate smoothly with our data platform. Participate in agile planning, estimation, and delivery of features. Write clean, testable code and help maintain high engineering standards. Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in a Linux-based environment. Work closely with front-end engineers and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutions. Experience: 3+ years of professional software engineering experience. Solid experience with Python, including Django (or equivalent frameworks). Strong experience with relational databases (preferably Postgres), including schema design and query optimization. Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses, particularly in the context of integrating backend systems with analytical platforms. Comfort working in Unix/Linux environments and with command-line tools. Understanding of distributed systems, API design, and asynchronous programming. Nice to have: Experience with AWS services for application hosting, storage, or data processing. We turn projects around in hours, and stay agile using campaign analytics & measurement data to optimize cross-channel performance We measure performance across all screens - Our measurement reports provide reach and frequency insight across TV and Digital/CTV buys, offering a holistic view of our customers’ video ad buys About the Role We’re looking to grow our political digital media activation team with driven, detail-oriented professionals who bring 1–2 years of experience in digital media or advertising operations. As an Advertising Operations Coordinator, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day management of programmatic digital media campaigns — including trafficking, monitoring performance, optimizing delivery, and ensuring alignment with client objectives. You’ll collaborate closely with our Customer Success team to deliver results for political and public affairs clients. This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their foundational experience and take the next step in their digital media career while working on large campaigns in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Place programmatic media buys through our DSPs Work with the Client Success team to ensure optimal performance of advertising campaigns to meet the goals of our customers Manage live campaigns and pacing optimization Provide campaign performance updates for Client Success team Utilize a variety of technology platforms to execute day to day campaign monitoring and planning tasks Willingness to work late hours and occasionally on the weekend as customer needs arise surrounding elections Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency in campaign operations Experience 1-2 years experience executing and managing programmatic campaigns Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising or related fields preferred Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform effectively under pressure. Comfortable managing competing internal and external deadlines. Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to think critically Strong Interest in data analysis Experience with basic Excel commands required Nice to have: experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Yahoo!
