Design and develop engaging instructor-led and eLearning training materials and manage learning programs to improve employee performance and engagement. | Bachelor's degree in instructional design or related field with 5+ years of experience in instructional design and eLearning development, proficiency in specific design tools, and collaboration with stakeholders. | GENERAL SUMMARY: The Instructional Designer & Training Consultant will report to the Director of Learning and Development and be responsible for creating engaging learning solutions, environment, and experiences for clinical and non-clinical learners. This position is remote with occasional onsite meetings located in Southeast, Michigan. Responsibilities include partnering with colleagues and stakeholders to develop and launch a variety of integrated learning and development programs, tools, and collaborative practices that include formal and informal technology-enabled collaborative solutions as part of the talent management life cycle. The Instructional Designer & Training Consultant is responsible for the development of courses and execution of projects to achieve strategic business objectives to improve performance, engagement, and development. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Familiar with typical instructional design tools such as: Articulate 360 (Storyline, Rise), Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, or Acrobat Pro.), Camtasia, SnagIT, Audacity, Vyond, Animaker, etc. to quickly design learner-centric, engaging, and interactive learning solutions, while applying industry standard methodologies (e.g., ADDIE). • Partners with SMEs, internal clients, and consultants to analyze and assess learning requests, make recommendations, develop learning objectives, and content that aligns with course objectives and content development. • Determines appropriate instructional methodologies and formats. • Facilitates instructor led (ILT) and virtual-led classes with knowledge of adult learning theory and practice, facilitation, and training techniques. • Responsible for the design and development of course materials, interactive and multimedia technology-driven components, and other support materials during learning development • Selects appropriate media for delivery (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, virtual, blended) to ensure that learning needs are met effectively and efficiently. • Design, develop and creates materials such as eLearning, participant and facilitator guides, instructor-led training materials, workbooks, job aids, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, webcasts, micro learning, and knowledge assessments. • Manages the planning, design, and implementation/delivery of all learning and development requirements. • Evaluates the success of training programs in terms of learning outcomes, performance change and business impact. • Experience with the Cornerstone learning experience platform (LMS/LXP) to add, manage, and suggest learner content for customers (preferred) • On-site, in-person, meetings may be required, as needed EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, Adult Learning or Adult Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Learning Design, or related field. • At least five (5) years of experience in instructional design, development, and implementing instructor-led and eLearning products in a professional environment required. • Participates on various Human Resources or system-wide project teams to develop new initiatives and programs aimed at improving organizational and employee effectiveness. • Collaborates with other learning and development consultants, leadership development consultants, and organizational effectiveness (OE) partners to support one another, while working as a team to review projects, and provide creative learning solutions. CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO THE STATE OF MICHIGAN. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, designs or updates moderately complex information systems that include analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment. The ideal candidate will have experience using analytical skills to seek out, research and evaluate a variety of options to provide clients with high quality, efficient business processes and solutions that promote efficiency and enterprise-wide standardization. Must demonstrate the ability to mediate and bridge the relationship between technical and business stakeholders without compromising the needs of the solution users and the strategic goals of the organization. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Subject matter expert (SME) in one or more applications' capabilities and features for users, owners, and administrators of solutions. • Collaborates with work teams, departments, system leadership, staff, other IT groups, and technology vendors to define needs and facilitate solutions. • Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and develops business specifications to support these modifications. • Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated in to the system design. • Assists in analyzing testing results throughout the project. • Provides on call second-level escalation response for client issues and problem tickets • Design, develop, and maintain integrations between ERP systems and third-party systems. • Work closely with FSCM, HRIS, payroll business stakeholders to gather integration requirements. • Build and manage integration processes including Boomi processes, connectors, and error-handling logic for smooth data transmission. • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize existing integrations for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Ensure integrations adhere to security, compliance, and data governance standards. • Collaborate in Agile/Scrum environments and participate in planning and review sessions. • Assists senior team members in conducting conference room pilots and demonstrations. • Occasionally trains end users EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • Associate's Degree or two (2) years of college required OR five (5) years of practical work experience in the IT Healthcare realm in lieu of college. Demonstrated ability in communications and problem solving with health care clinicians. Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Three (3) years of applicable work experience required; Preferred technical experience includes strong knowledge of state-of-the-art software engineering approaches in design, build, test, debugging problems, and ongoing technical support, and ability to articulate examples of workflows and processes associated with that experience. • Experience with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Experience documenting business requirements. • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member. • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment. • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills. • Experience in application programming or application support preferred. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Preferred technical experience includes strong knowledge of state-of-the-art software engineering approaches in design, build, test, debugging problems, and ongoing technical support, and ability to articulate examples of workflows and processes associated with that experience. • Strong knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML, and flat file formats. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: • Experience/exposure to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK), certification preferred.
