We are the primary ICU for Stroke/TPA patients and care for patients with sepsis, respiratory failure requiring advanced airway management, GIB (GI bleeding) requiring massive blood transfusion, kidney failure requiring CRRT, and multi organ failure with invasive and noninvasive monitoring. Surgical patients cared for on this unit include post op patients that have various procedures/operations such as new tracheostomies, pegs, abdominal, urological, and vascular surgeries. Nurse should be able to manage high acuity patient team, assist in bedside procedures and travel with patient for procedures and testing off the unit. Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing duties, support patient service centers, train staff, maintain equipment, and participate in quality improvement activities. | High school diploma, phlebotomy training or equivalent experience, 1 year relevant experience, state driver's license, and preferred phlebotomy certification. | Job Summary Under the direction of phlebotomy management, performs diverse support functions including phlebotomy to ensure accurate test results and a quick turnaround time.
