Develop and execute strategies to improve energy efficiency, reduce emissions, and optimize utility systems across manufacturing facilities. | Bachelor's in engineering, 7+ years in energy/utilities, experience with industrial systems, project management, and data analysis. | Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you'll develop strategy and execute programs that reduce energy and water consumption, carbon emissions, and costs across manufacturing facilities in North America and Mexico. You'll guide utilization of the UMAP (utilities monitoring analytics platform) platform across facilities, collaborate with cross-functional partners, evaluate technologies, and deliver scalable improvements in energy performance and sustainability outcomes. A Taste of Your Responsibilities • Serve as technical subject matter expert for utilities efficiencies, optimization, and carbon reduction initiatives. • Develop and maintain engineering standards, specifications, guidelines, and best practices related to utilities. • Identify, evaluate, and apply emerging technologies and industry best practices. • Promote efficiency improvements in lighting, compressed air systems, electrical, steam and condensate systems, and water usage, including wastewater, process water, and sanitation. • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentoring to engineering, operations, and maintenance teams. • Lead and support energy and carbon reduction projects, ensuring commitments align with climate pledge goals. • Manage projects against plans and goals to achieve desired performance outcomes. • Prepare technical briefs, assessments, and analyses to support capital projects. • Conduct cost and benefit analysis for energy-related needs and contribute to budget preparation for utility and energy retrofits. • Track current and future reduction initiative projects to support long-term sustainability targets. • Support UMAP utilization and utilities consumption evaluation with site teams. • Plan for future metering expansion and support utility metering and sub-metering growth. • Quantify energy savings, emissions reductions, and financial impacts of initiatives. Ingredients Required for Your Success • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field. • 7+ years of progressive experience in energy management, utilities engineering, or sustainability within industrial or manufacturing environments. • Strong working knowledge of industrial energy systems, including electrical, compressed air, steam, boilers, and water and wastewater systems. • Experience developing, evaluating, and implementing energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects. • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation. • Experience with data analytics and performance reporting. • Experience training and mentoring teams in technical energy and sustainability topics. • Strong financial analysis skills related to project justification and performance tracking. • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations East of Denver, CO and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport • Willingness to travel up to 50 percent within North America ##LI-Remote ##LI-PM2 ##LI-MSL Compensation: Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. Manage medium to large food manufacturing projects including frozen food processing systems, leading engineering teams, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring projects meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. | Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, 8+ years food manufacturing experience, 5+ years project management, frozen food experience, managing $5MM+ capital projects, and willingness to travel 25%. | Reporting to the Director of Engineering, you will plan single or multiple projects that range in complexity. You will manage all aspects of the project (i.e., scope development, cost estimates and schedule, etc.) by collaborating within the engineering organization and with other cross-functional departments. You will manage all technical resources and influence team members to execute projects from conception to completion delivering success criteria and vertical start-up. You should have a solid understanding of the food processing technology employed in a USDA/frozen food production facility. This position is critical for providing manufacturing process/packaging systems and modification expertise for our manufacturing plants to deliver our company's established plans and goals for innovation, infrastructure, and cost savings. Typical projects involve state-of-the-art frozen food assembly/freezing/packaging systems, meat and poultry cook/cool systems, sauce processing systems, vegetable processing systems, dedicated product systems, factory automation, food equipment design and fabrication, building infrastructure and utility systems, and environmental health/food safety. Responsibilities Include: • Travel to internal and co-manufacturer manufacturing plants, vendors, suppliers, engineering service providers, and any other sites required to successfully execute projects. Travel will involve domestic and international. • Work with leadership within and outside the Supply Chain function • Have external interactions with, but not limited to, equipment vendors, construction contractors, engineering services contractors, local / state / federal government agencies, and co-manufacturing organizations. • Be a Technical Leader and an expert in Project Management and has demonstrated accomplishments and contributions to meet business needs • Manage a range of medium to large projects • Manage multiple project staff of up to 5 - 15 engineering professionals (may be a combination of internal and consulting engineers) • Complete assigned projects by using workflows with Innovation, Operations and Platform Groups • Ensure that all project planning, deliverables, reporting, and spending forecasts are managed and are delivered within cost, schedule and performance success criteria Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering • 8+ years of experience in Food Manufacturing • 5+ years of Project Management experience • Frozen Food Experience • Experience managing several $5MM + capital projects and a progression through multiple roles in the Food Manufacturing industry • Travel is variable depending on project timing and averages 25% (predominantly Monday - Friday). #LI-PM2 #LI-Remote #LI-MSL Compensation: Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.
