Develop and implement quality control systems focused on facility sanitary design, conduct quality audits, analyze production data, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and manage complex projects across manufacturing and supply chain networks. | Bachelor's degree with 5+ years in quality engineering within manufacturing, expertise in facility sanitary design, quality control methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean, strong problem-solving and audit skills, and ability to train staff and communicate across audiences. | Reporting to the Sr Director FSQRA as the Principal Food Safety Quality Engineer you'll focus on Facility Sanitary Design specific to food safety and quality expertise working across the manufacturing network while establishing “best in class” procedures and processes cross-functionally aligned with FSQRA, Manufacturing, Engineering, R&D, Procurement and IT. You'll develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure the continuous improvement of production processes. Work with multiple departments, including manufacturing, engineering, and procurement, to identify and resolve quality-related issues, ensuring that products meet both internal and external customer expectations. Responsibilities • Technical Expertise: Act as a technical expert across the quality control systems with focus on Facility Sanitary Design. • Develop and Implement Quality Control Systems: Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols across the manufacturing and supply chain network to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards. • Analyze Data: Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend areas for improvement. • Quality Audits: Conduct regular quality audits to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and company policies. • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve quality issues promptly, using industry insight and root cause analysis to implement or recommend corrective action techniques. • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes and enhance product quality control work streams. • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions. • Project Management: Complex project management while keeping current with the latest industry standards and regulations relative to facility sanitary design. • Training: Train and mentor staff on quality assurance processes and best practices. • Customer Interaction: Communicate with stakeholders regarding quality issues and corrective actions. • Compliance: Ensure that all products comply with relevant industry standards and regulations. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment. • Experience in Facility Sanitary Design • Experience with quality control methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and ISO standards. • Experience analyzing complex data and identify patterns and trends. • Problem-Solving Skills: Proficient in root cause analysis and developing effective corrective actions. • Conduct inspections and audits to ensure product quality • Communicate technical information to technical and nontechnical audiences. • Provided technical training from both internal subject matter experts and external resources including process equipment suppliers, industry associations and/or academic institutions. • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations Denver, CO and east and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport • 50% Travel to, and working in, manufacturing facilities in North America including travel to vendor or training facilities both in North America and internationally. #LI-PM2 #LI-Remote #LI-MSL Compensation: Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. Lead engineering projects from conception to completion, managing scope, budget, schedule, and compliance while coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors. | Bachelor's in Engineering or 8 years equivalent in food/pharma/CPG engineering project leadership, 4 years direct project leadership, experience managing $5M+ projects, and knowledge of USDA/FDA regulations. | Reporting to the Director of Engineering, as the Engineering Project Manager you will oversee engineering projects, with varying levels of complexity, from conception to completion. You'll manage all aspects of project safety, scope development, cost estimates, regular cost forecasts and schedule. We ask that you have a strong technical background, demonstrated through previous experience in the food, pharmaceutical or CPG industry, excellent project management skills, and the experience to lead cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Responsibilities Include: • Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring agreement on our goals. • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. • Coordinate, collaborate and provide technical guidance to internal cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance. Externally, you will collaborate with equipment vendors, construction contractors and engineering services. • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions. • Communicate project status, updates, and milestones to stakeholders • Ensure compliance with industry standards, USDA/FDA regulations, and best practices. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or 8 years of equivalent project leadership experience with increasing responsibility in the food, pharmaceutical or CPG industry • 4 years of direct project leadership experience with increasing responsibility • 4 years of food manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing or CPG manufacturing experience • Experience with engineering project management, with a track record of delivering complex projects of at least $5 million. • Technical background and understanding of engineering principles and practices. • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, at multiple plants,. • This position is located in Omaha NE, Chicago IL, select field locations or remote locations Denver, CO and east and within reasonable proximity (50 miles) to a major airport • Travel is variable depending on project timing and averages 50% (predominantly Monday – Friday). #LI-PM2 #LI-MSL #LI-Remote Compensation: Pay Range:$107,000-$156,000 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position.
