Develop and execute SEO strategy, lead content creation and optimization, run growth experiments, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive organic revenue growth. | 4-7+ years in SEO or organic growth with proven inbound revenue impact, strong technical SEO knowledge, editorial skills, and experience managing content teams. | 🌟 About the role We’re looking for a Senior Organic & SEO Content Marketer to own and scale our organic growth engine. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role where you’ll combine strategic SEO, technical expertise, and content leadership to drive meaningful inbound revenue. As one of the earliest marketing hires on our Growth team, you’ll be responsible for building a world-class organic acquisition program from the ground up. You’ll own the roadmap, the systems, and the performance — and as you demonstrate impact, you’ll have the opportunity to hire, manage, and lead a high-performing content team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving Series A/B environments, loves to build, and wants to create a measurable growth foundation that compounds over time. 🚀 What You'll Own SEO Strategy & Execution Develop and execute the full-funnel SEO strategy across product, category, and conversion-driven content. Own keyword research, opportunity sizing, and prioritization frameworks tied directly to revenue goals. Conduct and implement technical SEO improvements (site performance, architecture, schema, crawling/indexing, internal linking). Build and maintain a scalable SEO analytics stack — dashboards, attribution models, forecasting. Content Program Leadership Create (and systematize) high-quality, SEO-optimized content: landing pages, blog posts, product guides, comparison pages, and conversion content. Build frameworks for quality, tone, accuracy, and performance at scale. Manage content calendars, production workflows, and freelance contributors. Partner with growth and product for optimized UX, content blocks, and CRO-driven structures. Growth Experiments & Revenue Ownership Run experiments across acquisition surfaces (SERPs, programmatic content, comparison pages, local SEO, GEO, directory optimization). Forecast and report on the pipeline and inbound revenue attributed to organic. Continuously improve conversion rates through structured testing and collaboration with Growth. Own hard but achievable MRR goals from organic. Cross-Functional Leadership Work closely with Product, Data, and Growth Engineering on site performance, structural SEO, and multi-page content deployment. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to develop SEO-informed content that improves activation, sales velocity, and education. Eventually hire and lead a small team of writers, freelancers, or SEO specialists as velocity increases. 🏆 You are a strong fit if you... Treat SEO like an engineering discipline — structured, rigorous, and measurable. Think in systems, not one-off articles. Have shipped SEO programs that materially drove inbound revenue in past roles. Build processes that scale and compound, even as channels get more competitive. Understand the levers behind authority, relevance, and conversion — and know how to pull them effectively. Are as comfortable in Google Search Console and Ahrefs as you are writing briefs or presenting results to execs. ✅ What You Bring 4–7+ years of experience in SEO, organic growth, or content marketing (startup or fast-growth preferred). Proven track record of driving measurable inbound revenue through organic acquisition. Deep knowledge of technical SEO fundamentals, including schema, site architecture, crawl budget optimization, and performance requirements. Strong editorial instincts and experience producing or editing conversion-oriented content. You value the craft and have a superlative command of the English language. Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers, product & ops folks, and executives. Experience managing freelancers, agencies, or writers — with a desire to grow into people leadership. ♥️ Why You’ll Love Working Here You’ll own a high-leverage, high-autonomy growth channel at a pivotal moment in the company. You’ll shape the foundation of a long-term organic strategy, not inherit a broken one. Your work will have an immediate and visible impact on the business. You’ll get to build — content systems, technical improvements, strategic frameworks, and eventually a team. 💼 Benefits & Perks Full medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) coverage for U.S. employees. Strategic team offsites 2–4 times a year for alignment and momentum. Remote-first and impact-focused — work from anywhere and stay focused on real outcomes. Develop and execute lifecycle marketing strategies including testing, messaging, and customer segmentation to drive measurable business outcomes and build the function from scratch. | 4+ years lifecycle/CRM marketing experience, strong writing skills, eagerness to learn SQL, experience in early-stage marketing teams, and customer-focused mindset. | 🌟 About the role We're hiring our first Lifecycle Marketing Manager whose customer empathy and data obsession create real revenue impact. If you're the type who wants to build a function from scratch, this is your playground. 🚀 You will... Measurable business outcomes: You are responsible for all of the strategy, testing, and messaging to get a customer from one lifecycle stage to the next. For example, you could be personally responsible for getting X% of service business owners to invite 1 team member within 14 days of signup. The brand voice across touches: You are responsible for delivering a consistent, high-performing, delightful system of in-app messages, emails, push notifications, etc. The voice behind those messages is yours to design and own. 🏆 You are... A ferocious tester: You want to get to market as quickly as possible. You will come up with a test, design it, run it, analyze initial results, and plan V2 all within a matter of days. When you come to a group, you don’t say “I have an idea.” You instead say, “I tested an idea. Here’s how it went.” Data-obsessed: You cut the data again and again, looking to find the perfect segment in the perfect moment to test with the perfect messaging. You don’t test generic things like “let’s send an upsell email when their hardware is delivered.” Instead you say things like, “autobody shop owners get stressed at 5pm because they are having to check out clients and close the shop, so they are missing calls. Therefore at 6pm we should send them a push asking if their team member could have made their close easier by being added to the app.” [The person in this role is expected to learn SQL via a bootcamp we offer. We require that of everyone in marketing, design, and management at Community Phone. If that does not excite you, this is likely not a fit.] A confident writer: You will be the voice of our brand to the customer during the lifecycle. You have confident opinions about what voice will resonate with our customer segments. Your writing feels tailored, not generic. Scrappy: You will be the first into this function. We do not have fancy lifecycle tools. We will not block testing so that we can go through a long “implementation period” with some new tool. Instead, we have remarkable engineers who can build whatever you imagine. You are excited about that scrappiness, rather than feel like your hands are tied. The basics: 4+ years of lifecycle/CRM marketing experience Experience in small business or consumer subscription. Bonus if it’s in our segments SQL knowledge or an eagerness to undergo our (mandatory) SQL bootcamp Exceptional written English Eagerness to speak directly to customers Experience being very early in a function (total marketing department of <5 people, with company size below 250 people) 📓 What We Offer The opportunity to build a function from scratch. Early equity — you’ll share in the value you help create. A culture of deep ownership, speed, transparency, and kind ambition. Competitive salary and remote work with an international team. Let’s Build the Next Category-Defining Company If you’re ready to build something legendary — with real ownership and creative freedom — we’d love to hear from you. 💙 Community Phone Culture Community Phone has a customer-obsessed culture.
