Summary We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer - Backend to join the fully remote Engineering team at Feedonomics. You will be working with a highly collaborative and cross-functional Backend Engineering team to deliver and scale core infrastructure components and services that power our robust, high-performance, data-intensive SaaS platform. Responsibilities Collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable and highly available applications and services. Solve complex infrastructure-related problems with code, developing and providing post-release support for scalable applications. Identify and implement enhancements to DevOps practices and tooling, leveraging automation to enhance robustness of the CI/CD pipeline, thereby streamlining efficient application development and deployment. Drive technology design and articulate architecture solution options to the product owners and Engineering leadership. Conduct post-mortems to analyze and prevent repeat failures. Be a champion for Continuous Improvement in end-to-end infrastructure and systems. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes that solve concrete business problems. Become a domain expert who follows industry trends and applies best practices and contributes towards continuous improvement of those practices. Requirements 5+ years of programming experience in backend languages 2+ years experience with PHP (Strongly preferred), Python, GoLang, Java or a similar programming language 2+ years experience with MySQL or a similar technology Strong understanding of database schema design, caching and scalability Strong understanding of various communication protocols (TCP, RPC, etc) Strong understanding of Distributed Systems Experience in Caching technologies is a plus (e.g. Redis or Memcached) DevOps experience preferred Experience with Full-stack observability tools like New Relic is strongy preferred Workable understanding of Linux operating systems Experience with modern CI/CD and containerization tools like Docker Ability to perform time and memory complexity analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Education BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related technical field #LI-LH1 #LI-REMOTE (Pay Transparency Range: $156,354 - $234,532) The exact salary will be dependent on the successful candidate’s location, relevant knowledge, skills, and qualifications. The Sales Engineer plays an integral part in the sales cycle and is responsible for assisting the Sales Organization with technical questions, presenting our platform, and establishing confidence in the Feedonomics platform. To accomplish this, the Sales Engineer must be able to identify and understand a prospect or client’s technical business requirements and whether those can be solved by Feedonomics. What You'll Do: • Participate in all stages of the mid-market sales lifecycle including: • Provide technical input on discovery calls. • Give in depth demonstrations of the Feedonomics platform. • Prepare and showcase custom demos or data setups. • Review technical details with final decision makers at the end of the sales cycle. • Attend and/or schedule internal calls to discuss technical matters related to active deals. • Document all customer questions to ensure immediate follow-up on all outstanding issues. • Communicate technical requirements inside CRM and ensure knowledge transfer to operational teams. • Participate in all team activities (Weekly Sales Engineering team meeting, Sales Summits, Office Hours with Product team, etc). • Understand competitive positioning and be effective in differentiating Feedonomics. • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Feedonomics platform integrations to import data and identify any discrepancies or causes for delay. • Creating internal technical documentation related to Sales Engineering processes.
