You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust e-commerce solutions, with a strong focus on custom Shopify development, leveraging modern web technologies, and AWS serverless infrastructure. This role is essential for driving our brand's digital presence and optimizing the core customer experience. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using JavaScript, Node.js, and AWS services. Build, customize, and optimize Shopify storefronts, themes, Liquid templates, and Shopify apps (custom/private). Integrate third-party APIs and build internal tools to support operations and product needs. Collaborate with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Ensure high code quality through testing, code reviews, and best practices. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Work in a fast-moving startup environment, contributing to architecture decisions and process improvements. Own features from concept to deployment, monitoring, and iteration. Requirements 3–5 years of professional full-stack engineering experience. Proven experience building or customizing Shopify stores or Shopify apps (Liquid, theme development, API integrations). Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js. Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, etc.). Experience working in startup or high-velocity engineering environments. Strong understanding of REST APIs, web architecture, and application performance. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD workflows, and modern development practices. Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of deliverables. Excellent problem-solving skills and communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with TypeScript. Experience with React or other modern front-end frameworks. Role Overview: The Senior Brand Protection Manager will be responsible for identifying, monitoring, and mitigating instances of online fraud, scams, and intellectual property infringement. You will manage tools like Corsearch, Red Points, and other monitoring platforms to detect fraudulent activities, issue takedowns, and report outcomes. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining our brand’s reputation and ensuring a secure experience for our customers. You will liaise with social media platforms and across department heads to coordinate efforts to protect our brand and our customers from fraudulent activity, streaming processes and leveraging technology. Key Responsibilities Monitoring and Detection • Manage all reporting and takedowns for Marketplaces, Third Party Domains and Social Media Platforms • Oversee BP team / roles / Protection platform(s) ownership • Bustem - monitoring / takedown platform • IPPC - TikTok reporting platform • Meta reporting/ takedown • YT - reporting/ takedown • Snapchat - reporting/ takedown • Oversee BP platforms to monitor digital channels for scam websites, fraudulent ads, and content duplication. • Regularly scan Shopify, social media platforms, paid search ads, and marketplaces for infringements and fraudulent activities. • Stay updated on emerging fraud trends and patterns impacting e-commerce businesses. Enforcement and Takedowns • Execute takedown procedures for scam and fraudulent websites, ads, and listings. • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with intellectual property rights and fraud prevention regulations. • Liaise with platform support teams to escalate unresolved or persistent issues. Reporting and Communication • Develop comprehensive reports on fraudulent activity, enforcement actions, and brand protection KPIs. • Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management, on threats and mitigation progress. • Create and maintain documentation of processes, best practices, and outcomes for continuous improvement. Collaboration and Advocacy • Work closely with marketing, legal, and operations teams to align brand protection efforts with broader business goals as well as point of contact at each of the social media platforms. • Advocate for customer awareness by supporting the creation of educational content on identifying scams. • Partner with external agencies and technology providers to optimize monitoring and enforcement capabilities. • Create and schedule engaging social media content across platforms (Meta, TikTok) aligned with brand voice and marketing objectives • Assist in developing and executing social media campaigns from conception to analysis • Manage content calendar and ensure timely delivery of all planned content • Create and edit short-form video content optimized for each platform • Write compelling social media copy that drives engagement and action • Monitor and capitalize on trending topics and real-time marketing opportunities Reporting • Create monthly reports to show rate of take downs and risk to the business • Monitor performance of tools e.g Corsearch Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field • 3-5 years of experience in brand protection and or intellectual property • Understanding of social platforms including Meta, YouTube, Snapchat and TikTok • Strong writing and editing skills with excellent attention to detail Desired Skills & Attributes • Understanding of Trademark infringement and copyright infringement • Strong project management and organizational skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities • Eye for detail and nuances to showcase how our brand is being duplicated • Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative • Team player mentality with excellent communication skills • Understand the nuances involved in reporting scam/fraud sites and translate to marketplaces, social media platforms and shopify • Team leadership mentality and initiative to take ownership Platform Experience • Sproutsocial • Shopify • Meta, Tiktok, Snapchat, YT • Zendesk, Gorgias • Brand protection sites Location: This is a fully remote position located within the US. unUHSCNi30
