You will deal with scalability, code efficiency, and beautiful visuals that are at the core of our work, to ensure that our solutions perform optimally while presenting information in an intuitive and visually compelling way, You will be part of a collaborative engineering team committed to impactful results and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid role based in our Raleigh office. Our hybrid model means you’ll work from the office at least two days each week. This setup helps us stay connected, work more closely together, and keep making progress as a team. As a Software Engineer at Collibra, you will be responsible for Actively participating in team meetings and sharing ideas. Knowing your own code by preparing for code reviews and being able to justify design patterns used. Understand user persons impacted by code with well defined user stories and concrete inputs and outputs. Write clear measurable test cases to validate user stories and assert output on positive and negative results. You have 6+ years experience building scalable Java-based software applications, or 4+ years of experience and a Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Building cloud-native applications in Java & Spring with an eye towards operability, maintainability, and scaling. Experience with microservices architecture and multithreading. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required. You are Familiar with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and willing to deepen knowledge in this area. Familiar with AI model landscape and deployment modes in software development. Passioned about quality, good design, and clean code. Willing to share knowledge, to continue expanding your knowledge around new technologies as well as software development best practices. You are agile-minded and open to working in dynamic, iterative development environments. Measures of success are Within your first month, you will get familiar with the environment we use, the way we implement software as an organization, participate in virtual stand-up’s, simple business use cases and submit your first code to production. Within your third month, you will implement new user stories with quality and care, and understand what value they will bring to our customers. You will recognize areas for improvement and begin to propose ideas to the team during stand-up’s. Within your sixth month, you will be a key part of the Data Observability Team, regularly delivering quality code, participating in testing, and providing constructive input on the design and approaches taken to improve our software. Compensation for this role The standard base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year. This position is not eligible for additional commission-based compensation. Salary offers are based on a combination of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skills, and location. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required. | Joining Collibra’s Data Quality Sales Engineering team We're looking for a talented Data Quality Expert, who will be responsible for driving business focused on Collibra’s Data Quality platform supporting opportunities directly with our core Sales Engineers. The primary focus of this role will span North America, while also supporting partner & alliance events when applicable. This is a highly collaborative role as you will be working with peers and cross functional teams as the Collibra Data Quality expert. You will work across Collibra marketing, customer success, product management and sales teams to manage, develop and grow Collibra’s Data Quality initiatives. Staff Data Quality Engineers at Collibra are responsible for Serving as the primary point of contact for the field sales engineering team as a subject matter expert for all things Collibra Data Quality after basic qualification and discovery. Leading deep technical dives with prospects and existing customers regarding Collibra Data Quality while understanding the prospects and customers requirements. Collaborating with Sales Engineers to scope complex custom demos, POCs, and ensure their success by tying defined use cases and success criteria back to prospect and customer related value. Validating and confirming qualified opportunities for Collibra Data Quality and assisting the team through to customer value. Supporting sales activities, marketing activities, webcasts, and contract negotiations. You have 3+ years of data quality experience with a proven track record in Sales Engineering/Consulting 3+ years of sales engineering experience Hands-on experience with programmatic rule development, rule automation, AI, and ML Demonstrated track record of influencing across all levels of an organization, internally and externally, technical and non-technical, to successfully connect data outcomes to achieving business goals A technical proficiency of SQL, java, spark, rest APIs, active directory, and data pipelining A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship You are Experienced in building collaborative relationships, successfully closing sales with partners, enabling partners for success, and supporting partner marketing activities Supportive and collaborative across all parts of an organization and are able to adapt and engage across multiple topics, teams, customers, and partners Interested in data and being part of a team that is focused on importance of data for our customers Excited about the opportunity to test your capabilities in a fast-paced high-growth organization that is genuinely interested in uniting the world through data Measures of success are Within your first month, you will become familiar with Collibra and the institutional knowledge of process.
