Complete Description: Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) will be modernizing the District of Columbia Department of Motor Vehicles Enterprise Application to leverage new digital technologies such as cloud computing, data analytics, artificial intelligence and mobile that are required to create modern experience for customers and partners of DC DMV. Modernizing the DMV Enterprise Application helps DC DMV improve their services to citizens, enhance government operations while strengthening the overall data security. To address these challenges, the OCTO-DMV team is looking to hire highly skilled individuals to rapidly connect DMV Enterprise Application with modern technology while minimizing disruption to the existing systems. Role Description: The role will require you to design, develop and test using React JS technologies which will facilitate application development and implementation from development to QA to production. You will work to gain an understanding of the current system infrastructure, security needs, network considerations, methodologies. In this role, you will primarily focus on ReactJS programming, integrate designs and wireframes within the application code, write application interface code with JavaScript, translate wireframes and designs into quality codes, optimize components to work seamlessly across different browsers and devices, develop responsive web-based UI and supporting the ecosystem for the organization. Responsibilities: The Senior React Developer position requires in-depth knowledge of JavaScript, object model, DOM manipulation and event handlers, data structures, algorithms, JSX, Babel, and architectural styles /API’s (REST/RPC) and Agile methodologies for the development of application programs. The Senior Developer will be writing clean, scalable code using ReactJS programming languages, refactor and debug codes, improve existing software, test, and deploy applications and systems. PowerApps Developer (Contractor) Need by April 2026. Complete Description: PowerApps Developer (Contractor) DC Public Schools (DCPS) aims to engage an experienced developer with at least 4 years of experience to maintain a suite of previously created applications as well as design, develop, and document projects and applications using PowerApps and the Power Platform suite. Key Roles and Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain PowerApps applications solo or in a small team. Design and implement Power Automate Cloud flows, desktop flows, or business process flows. Create and configure workflows, business process automation, and integration solutions using Power Automate. Integrate low-code solutions with external systems and data sources. Maintain a suite of low code/no code QuickBase applications, customize html pages using both the QuickBase API as well as regular QuickBase interface. The Manager of Applications will assign priorities to the contractor on-site and make every attempt to provide advance notice of new assignments. Required and Preferred Qualifications and Skills A solid understanding of information flow, database fundamentals, and technical requirements listed below are necessary for this position. Extensive experience with Angular (or another modern frontend framework such as: React or Vue.js). Expert knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Experience in optimizing web applications for performance and usability. Experience with integrating with third party APIs. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Other Requirements The contractor shall meet with the Manager of Applications, within one (1) working day after the start of the engagement to begin professional services in support of DCPS operations. The contractor shall establish suitable processes and systems to guarantee the most regimented organization of resources involved in the support of the QuickBase Applications including project tracking and knowledge management. Complete documentation of processes and work is required to be maintained in an annual cycle workplan. The Contractor shall prepare draft and final versions of specific Program and Project Plans when necessary or as directed that are appropriate for the size and scale of technical efforts being undertaken. These plans shall specify the tasks, sub tasks, dependencies, resource requirements, schedules, and milestone dates required to complete specific technical programs or projects. When approved by the Director of Operations, these plans shall be used to monitor, control, and report progress, issues, and resource expenditures. These plans shall be updated as required and approved by the Director of Operations as required to maintain currency with project objectives, activities, and direction. Access to classified documents, data, studies, reports, and other documentation and information may be required. Consequently, background and fingerprinting are required.
