Our Cloud Architect Specialists are among the most senior members of our Solution Engineering team, providing thought leadership both internally and externally on our Product and underlying technologies. The team is an integral part of the wider Open Source community as well as working closely with our Pre-Sales team and our most strategic customers. Our global team works with broad autonomy as a bridge between Engineering and our wider Field teams, Clients, & Partners to drive the adoption and development of our ever-evolving Platform A Cloud Solutions Architect at Cloudera leads the adoption of Cloudera running on Public Cloud Platforms. We specialize in running Big Data & Machine Learning workloads on AWS, GCP, & Azure. This is a hands-on, customer facing role where you will identify use cases, develop best practices, and guide customers through their Data Journey in the Cloud. As a Cloud Solutions Architect you will: • Assist local account teams with your deep technical knowledge of running ETL, Analytical, Streaming, and Machine Learning workloads on Public Cloud infrastructure. • Advise customers on the optimal way for running various Big Data workloads in the Public Cloud considering factors like performance & cost effectiveness. • Be a thought leader who can lead enablement workshops and evangelize Big Data use cases on Public Cloud at both small and large scale events. • Engage with security and compliance teams to ensure the solution fits with customer's Cloud Compliance rules. • Communicate customer feature requests to product management to help guide product direction. We're excited about you if you have: • Bachelor's degree from accredited university is required • 10+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role especially working on 3 public clouds. • Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) technical certifications( Architect, security, network, developer) are a huge plus • You have implemented data solutions on Public Cloud, leveraging solutions similar to EMR, HDI, Dataproc, Cloudera, Spark, Presto, SOLR, Elastic on Public Cloud( AWS,Azure & GCP) • Comfortable programming in at least one of: Python, Bash, SQL, and working with REST APIs • You have relatable technical experience at a multinational enterprise or government level, facing into audiences up to and including executive level • You are excited to work independently within a small, agile, and globally distributed team, confident in seeking support and taking direction as necessary • You are happy to travel up to 25% of the time within your region, as domestic and international conditions permit. • You can suggest the benefits of your complementary skills like technical marketing, public speaking, being multilingual, production-grade code development, enterprise architecture, PaaS/SaaS delivery, etc. The right person in this role has a chance to create a huge impact at Cloudera and make valuable contributions to our future decisions.
