This position is fully remote within the United States and will support payroll operations for multiple clients, including payroll services for Japanese expatriates and assignees relocated from Japan to the U.S. ▶︎ Key Responsibilities: [Client Payroll Operations] ・Manage end-to-end U.S. payroll processing for multiple client companies ・Ensure accurate and timely payroll calculations and processing ・Handle multi-state payroll operations ・Respond to day-to-day payroll-related inquiries from clients ・Review and validate payroll data and related records etc [Payroll Support for Japanese Expatriates and Assignees] ・Process payroll for Japanese expatriates and assignees working in the United States ・Support shadow payroll, tax equalization, and split payroll arrangements ・Collaborate with global mobility teams and external tax advisors ・Manage payroll while considering U.S. and Japan tax and social security requirements etc [Consulting & Communication] ・Explain payroll calculations, taxes, and deductions to clients ・Support payroll setup for new clients and newly hired employees ・Collaborate with HR, benefits, and accounting teams etc [Tax & Compliance] ・Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations ・Support payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end payroll processes ・Respond to inquiries from tax authorities and support payroll audits etc [Systems & Process Improvement] ・Operate and support payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, and Paychex ・Document client-specific payroll processes ・Propose improvements to enhance efficiency and payroll accuracy etc ▶︎ Qualifications ・Hands-on experience in U.S. payroll operations ・Business-level or higher Japanese language proficiency ・Experience supporting expatriate or international assignee payroll ・Experience working in multi-client or complex payroll environments ・Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll tax regulations and compliance ・Experience using payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, or Paychex ・Ability to work independently in a remote environment ・High level of accuracy, accountability, and problem-solving skills ・Experience working with Japanese companies or Japanese expatriates ・Experience in HR consulting, payroll outsourcing, or BPO environment ・CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred
