In this role, you will be the driving force behind client PR and influencer strategies, overseeing key accounts and shaping brand narratives. This role focuses on elevating high-growth, trending client brands within the beauty, fashion, and lifestyle retail categories. You aren't just checking boxes; you are a storyteller and a strategist who understands the modern PR landscape where earned media, digital creators, and paid strategies intersect. The role will focus on increasing media engagement and influencer buzz through consumer campaigns across client retail categories including, beauty, fashion, or lifestyle. If you have a deep network of industry friends who actually look forward to your emails and a knack for spotting rising talent before they go viral, we want to meet you. Media Relations & Communications • Integrated Campaign Strategy: Lead the development and execution of holistic PR plans that align with client brand guidelines and business goals. Your strategies will blend earned media, paid partnerships, and influencer activation, demonstrating a deep understanding of business objectives and industry trends to drive maximum impact. • Media Relations: Maintain and expand an active network of top-tier editors, writers, and freelance journalists. You will oversee pitching and the securing of coverage in short- and long-lead publications. • Content Strategy: Oversee content projects from concept to completion, ensuring every asset is compelling, on-brand, and media-ready. Influencer Relations • Discovery & Identification: Lead the discovery of on-brand influencers, content creators, and tastemakers (micro to macro) who align with client aesthetic, values, and goals. • Outreach & Engagement: Manage the end-to-end influencer outreach process. You will handle initial contact, negotiation, gifting/seeding logistics, and relationship maintenance to ensure authentic advocacy. • Community Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with creators, turning one-off partners into genuine brand ambassadors. Management & Operations • Account & Project Management: Oversee and coordinate multiple accounts with excellence. You will manage timelines, ensuring projects move from concept to completion efficiently. You will also actively contribute to the continuous improvement of our internal project management processes. • Media Relations & Tracking: Track and analyze the success of both PR coverage and influencer campaigns. You will monitor KPIs (EMV, reach, engagement, sentiment) and pivot strategies based on real-time data. • Financial Oversight: Manage and track budgets for multiple projects/accounts, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and campaigns are delivered within scope. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in a PR/Communications role. • Experience in the retail industry. • Experience with beauty, lifestyle, or fashion brands. • An in-depth understanding of the current PR landscape. You understand that PR today goes beyond traditional press releases. It’s about integrated storytelling, digital presence, and influence. • Strong media relations experience with an established, active network of industry contacts. We are looking for someone whose contacts are responsive and engaged, not just a cold database. • Proven success in developing and implementing strategic communication plans that drive tangible earned media results. You should have a strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to secure placements in beauty, fashion, or lifestyle editorials and blogs. • Proven experience in the end-to-end management of influencer programs, including strategic identification, outreach, negotiation, contracting, and nurturing long-term brand ambassador relationships. • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to craft compelling narratives. • A proven track record of overseeing content creation projects from concept to completion. You have a keen eye for detail and ensure all output is strictly aligned with brand voice and goals. • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first, fast-paced, and data-driven environment. Compensation Pay: $50-75/hr depending on experience and location. Pay: $50.00 - $75.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
