What are we looking for? We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented Director of Marketing Operations to lead the vision, infrastructure, and execution that drive marketing performance and operational excellence. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for transforming marketing into a precision engine for scalable growth—empowering better decisions, efficient execution, and measurable business impact. As a senior member of the marketing leadership team, you will set and execute the Marketing Operations strategy, ensuring alignment across Marketing, Sales, Product, Finance, and Business Intelligence teams. You will manage and grow a high-performing team focused on marketing automation, campaign and email operations, data integrity, and program management. Your work will directly influence how the marketing organization operates globally, working in partnership with Business Operations and Revenue Operations—leveraging smart systems, disciplined processes, and strong analytics at the core. This role demands a blend of visionary thinking, operational rigor, and hands-on leadership. You’ll optimize the marketing technology stack, ensure data and process integrity, lead key cross-functional initiatives, and provide insight into performance at every level. You will also serve as the primary partner for marketing, owning performance and ROI reporting, globally. Responsibilities and Expectations Strategy & Leadership: Define and drive the global Marketing Operations vision and roadmap; act as a strategic advisor to the CMO and senior leadership on planning, performance, and operational scale. Team Development: Build, lead, and mentor a high-impact marketing operations team, including specialists in campaign ops, email marketing, marketing automation (Marketo), and program/project management. Marketing Automation & Execution: Own and optimize the marketing automation infrastructure, email operations, and campaign execution systems to enable seamless, scalable campaign delivery. Data & Analytics: Improve lead scoring models, enhance data quality, and deliver actionable reporting through robust attribution frameworks, customer journey analysis, and full-funnel visibility. Work closely with BI and Revenue Ops to build dashboards that track marketing performance across dimensions such as persona, geography, and industry. Technology & Vendor Management: Oversee the marketing technology stack in partnership with Business Ops (including HubSpot and 6Sense), ensuring tools are properly configured, integrated, and managed to support marketing scale. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations. Process Optimization: Design and document scalable processes for campaign execution, lead flow, and team collaboration. Ensure operational workflows are efficient, repeatable, and supported by clean, reliable data. Continuously seek to simplify systems and eliminate over-engineered or redundant processes. Requirements Experience Level: 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing operations, revenue operations, or a related field, with at least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role. Proven track record of leading marketing operations in a high-growth B2B or SaaS company. Strong knowledge of marketing and sales platforms such as HubSpot and Salesforce. Experience managing and optimizing integrated marketing tech stacks, ensuring tools are well-configured and scalable. Advanced understanding of marketing attribution models, and performance reporting. Proven experience working with data teams and ensuring clean data flows across systems for accurate insights. Strong people leadership skills; experienced in building, managing, and mentoring diverse, high-performing teams across functions such as marketing automation, analytics, and campaign ops. Able to influence and align cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Finance, Product, and BI. Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable marketing processes and operational frameworks in global, matrixed environments. Experience managing multi-million-dollar marketing budgets, including forecasting, cost tracking, and performance-to-spend alignment.
