The Role The Vice President, Fabric Solutions is a senior Product leader responsible for defining, building, and scaling Lumen’s Managed and Professional Services and Managed Security Services portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end service portfolio strategy, productization, and financial performance of Managed and Professional Services, including SASE, and advanced security services. The VP will drive the evolution of Lumen’s “service wrapper” strategy—creating differentiated, scalable offerings that enhance the value of Lumen’s network and enable enterprise customers to modernize their infrastructure. Operating at the intersection of Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance, this leader will define how services are built, packaged, priced, sold, and governed—ensuring alignment across the organization to deliver profitable growth and exceptional customer outcomes. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role requiring strong business ownership, strategic vision, and the ability to influence execution across a large, matrixed organization. The Main Responsibilities Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership Own the Managed Network and Security Services portfolio strategy, vision, roadmap, and lifecycle management Define and evolve offerings across SASE, NaaS, and security services (e.g., MDR, XDR, ZTNA) Lead service productization, packaging, pricing, SLAs, and standardization to enable scalable delivery Drive Lumen’s “service wrapper” strategy, increasing the value and attach of services to core network offerings Business Ownership & Financial Performance Own the business performance of the portfolio, revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost alignment Partner with Finance to develop pricing strategies, financial models, and investment cases Identify and execute opportunities to increase attach rates, customer lifetime value, and service adoption Define KPIs and performance metrics to track success and inform strategic decisions Cross-Functional Leadership Partner closely with Operations to ensure services are deliverable, scalable, and aligned with cost and quality targets Collaborate with Sales to develop GTM strategies, enablement, and sales plays Work with Legal to standardize contracts, SLAs, and commercial frameworks Align with Engineering and Architecture to ensure technical feasibility and roadmap alignment Act as the central point of accountability for aligning all functions to deliver the portfolio successfully GTM & Commercialization Define and enable GTM strategies, including segmentation, positioning, and solution bundling Support Sales in driving adoption of managed services through clear value propositions and repeatable sales motions Develop strategic partnerships with key vendors and ecosystem partners to enhance offerings Innovation & Portfolio Evolution Continuously evolve the portfolio to align with emerging enterprise needs, including multi-cloud, edge, and AI-driven workloads Drive adoption of automation, AI, and service intelligence to improve scalability and differentiation Identify gaps in the portfolio and lead development of new services to address market demand Customer & Market Alignment Ensure the portfolio reflects real customer needs through ongoing engagement with key clients and market feedback Partner with Customer Experience and Operations to improve service outcomes, satisfaction, and retention Represent Lumen externally as a thought leader in managed network and security services Leadership Profile: Product-oriented business leader with a strong sense of ownership and accountability Highly collaborative, with the ability to influence without direct authority Strategic thinker who can translate vision into practical, scalable offerings Customer-focused, with a passion for delivering meaningful business outcomes Operates with a growth mindset and drives continuous improvement across the organization What We Look For in a Candidate Required • 15+ years of experience in Product Management, Managed Services, or related leadership roles within telecom, technology, or MSP environments • Proven experience owning and scaling service portfolios with clear financial accountability • Strong understanding of Managed Network and Security domains, including SD-WAN, SASE, NaaS, and enterprise security services • Demonstrated success in productizing services (packaging, pricing, lifecycle management) • Experience operating in a highly matrixed organization, driving alignment across Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance • Strong commercial acumen with ability to connect product decisions to financial outcomes • Executive presence with ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional execution • Analytical mindset with experience leveraging data and metrics to guide decisions Preferred • MBA or CS degree a plus • Experience in product design or engineering background a plus Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors. Location Based Pay Ranges $211,163 - $281,551 in all states.
