Oversee development and maintenance of healthcare analytics reporting systems, lead data strategy initiatives, and foster data democratization within the organization. | Minimum 8 years in healthcare data analytics, 3 years with Epic systems, advanced T-SQL and Python scripting, proven leadership in analytics teams, and relevant certifications. | Overview The Director of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence (DDABI) oversees the development, maintenance, and enhancement of reporting systems that address clinical quality, access, utilization, and financial metrics. This role enables the use of actionable data to support key strategic and operational priorities aligned with Central Health's mission to improve the health of our community. Under the general direction of the Vice President of Quality, Analytics, and Performance Improvement, the DDABI will leverage their expertise to support robust data analytics and business intelligence functions that drive decision-making and insights to enhance Central Health's overall effectiveness, efficiency, and population health management capabilities. Additionally, the DDABI will serve as the organization's lead data expert and work with stakeholder groups to create timely and effective dashboards, visualizations, reports, and business tools with broad applicability. Lastly, the DDABI fosters the democratization of data and the development of data usability throughout the organization. Hybrid = Individuals in this position may work both at an approved off-site location and onsite at a primary location or multiple locations based on business needs. Responsibilities Essential Functions 1. Service Delivery ReportingResponsible for the development and maintenance of key performance indicator dashboards including:• Clinical Quality reporting.• Regulatory reporting support.• Enrollment trending for coverage programs.• Access and Utilization reporting.• Financial Reporting Support.• Population Health Management Reporting including the use of patient registry / analytic capabilities.• Recurring reports for the Central Health Board and other externally facing organizations. Oversees data reporting and strives to automate reporting wherever feasible by leveraging warehousing technology to develop automated data pipelines and procedures that leverage data from Central Health's Electronic Medical Records System (“Epic”) and/ or the enterprise data warehouse/ data lake, collaborating closely with Central Health's Joint Technologies team to meet these goals. Develops standard data filtration structure that facilitates ease of health equity analysis. Ensures reporting and data management adhere to regulatory standards. Essential Functions Ensures robust and accurate patient matching. 2. Leadership Helps to identify and then implements data strategy initiatives that drive clinical excellence, population health, financial and resource stewardship, and positions Central Health as highly reliable, highly effective hospital district with a focus on quality and healthcare equity. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to determine data analytic priorities that support continued organizational success. Supports initiatives, including use of business intelligence, to enhance enrollment, service delivery and performance outcomes. Maintains comprehensive catalogue of data requests and facilitates prioritization of work at the direction of executive leadership. 3. Data Analytics Leverages Snowflake and the embedded reporting and analytic capabilities of Epic and adheres to the goal of data democratization through data availability and self-reporting wherever feasible within Epic or when necessary, in another visualization tool such as Tableau. Ensures that metrics and benchmarks established are developed to measure the performance and outcomes of prioritized projects and initiatives. Supports analysis of key metrics as prioritized by the annual quality plan or by senior leaders. Oversees analysis of data that identifies health trends, population risk stratifications and interventional opportunities in furtherance of Central Health’s population health management initiatives. 4. Reporting and Communication Regularly reports to VP of Quality, Analytics and Performance Improvement and other senior leadership on the progress and outcomes of Central Health’s initiatives. Balances the need for timely data with data integrity with the needs of the data customer noting that perfect data is not always required to inform decisions or to drive change. Supports the dissemination of key findings and insights derived from data analytics and business intelligence to a wider audience, including simple and effective data visualizations as directed by senior leaders. Facilitates communication between different departments and fosters a collaborative environment. Other Job Functions: Develop and monitor standard pathway for obtaining Blue Ribbon status of Epic foundation system dashboards, reporting workbench reports and Slicer Dicer models. Oversee training materials relevant to the reporting tools within Epic, partnering with training and education team as the analytics subject matter expert for related content. Partner with the Enterprise Joint Technology team as it relates to decisions and directives affecting database design and interfaces and integration that requires informatics support or input. Monitor and optimize Epic foundational reporting; offer recommendations on system improvement to drive consistent and accessible reporting. Co-Chair the Data Governance Advisory Council, directing the council through strategic development of reporting standards, decision-making, data integrity assurance, and overall governance structure development and maintenance. Support Central Health's Data Governance initiatives beyond Epic Data Governance. Complete annual evaluations and revisions to the Data Governance Program Charter. Develop and maintain documents and processes that support data governance, including but not limited to: Dependency of Reports list, centralized report inventory, prioritization methodologies and lists, and request tracker as it relates to reporting and system conversions.. People Management/Department Management/Business Unit Management: Works in tandem with Central Health and CommUnityCare’s leaders to ensure a collaborative team-oriented environment. Leads and motivates the team members under his/her supervision; uses effective performance management processes. Performs objective annual evaluations of all direct reports. Supports, leads, and models the vision, mission and values of Central Health. Supervises and is responsible for guiding the work of the data analytics team. Fosters a culture of continuous learning and development within the data analytics team. Facilitates collaboration and knowledge sharing among data analytics team members. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: High SchoolDiploma or equivalent Preferred: Master's Degree Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Informatics, Data Science, or a related field. Degree may substitute for years of experience. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 8 years in healthcare, with a focus on health-related data analytics and business intelligence. 3 years experience with healthcare quality metrics. 3 years of T-SQL scripting. Proficiency level should be considered advanced. This includes the ability to write stored procedures that leverage dynamic variables. 3 years years working in Epic. 3 years of experience utilizing Epic’s Clarity and Caboodle data models to develop and optimize data reporting in SlicerDicer or Reporting Workbench. 1 year of experience with Python scripting. Proven track record of leading a data analytics team. Expertise in health data analytics, including knowledge of relevant tools and software PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Strong background in population health management and healthcare informatics and data analysis including tools such as Microsoft SQL REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:1.Epic Cogito, Clarity Data Model, Caboodle Data Model certification. The Medical Assistant - Respite/Bridge will deliver care to patients in various environments, ensuring all client needs are met while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities include assisting with client intake, performing clinical duties, and enhancing patient experiences through effective communication and care coordination. | Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with a Medical Assistant Diploma or National Certification. Experience through a Medical Assistant externship is required, along with a current Texas Drivers License and Basic Life Support certification. | Overview The Medical Assistant - Respite/Bridge will be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team that will support the clients in the Medical Respite Program, ambulatory clinic, or in various locations throughout the community to improve healthcare outcomes for patients experiencing homelessness. The Medical Respite program allows individuals who are experiencing homelessness a safe place to rest and recuperative from a medical condition. While participants focus on improving their health, they can also work on addressing other needs like housing and benefits. The Bridge Program provides access to healthcare in a clinic setting and focuses on reaching people outside the clinic meeting people where they are delivering needed health care in areas in our community. Under direction of licensed medical and/or licensed nursing personnel, the MA – Respite/Bridge takes a central role in the delivery of health care for the Medical Respite program. This position collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient client care delivery and the achievement of desired client outcomes. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Delivers care to patients in our diverse care environments and ensures all needs of the client are met, in conformance with established policies and procedures. In the respite environment, with client intake process: helps client process admission paperwork, orienting client to facility, explaining program policies and procedures/ rules / expectations, assists multidisciplinary team and respite clients as needed with case management duties. Accompanies clients to critical medical care appointments and serves as their advocate during health care encounter. Assists with client discharge planning. When working in a clinic setting, performs clinical duties as assigned and competency validated in accordance with Standing Delegation Orders including, but not limited to: administering medications, immunizations, setting up exam or procedure rooms, preparing patients for examinations and /or treatments, assisting provider with exams or procedures, cleaning and disinfection of equipment, exam rooms and storage, stocking exam rooms, perform quality control checks on equipment as per manufacturer guidelines. Adheres to approved workflows for pre-visit planning, rooming and wrap up, utilizing AIDET during each patient interaction to enhance the patient experience. As required and competency validated, performs appropriate EKG, spirometry, point of care testing, specimen collection, staple and suture removal, wound care, toenail cutting, phlebotomy, equipment cleaning/reprocessing and other requested procedures. As part of community-based Bridge services, in addition to clinical functions described above performs appointment registration duties including verifying and entering patient demographic and insurance information in the electronic medical system, collects co‐payments/deductibles, complete closing and/or end of day processes. May be required to operate a company vehicle to community-based locations for the provision of health care services. Enhances the patient experience by performing in-basket management, addressing MyChart messages, assisting with pre-certifications, referrals, authorizations, and scheduling of patients for clinic, hospital and other ancillary medical treatments and tests. Collaborates with the client’s care team including, primary care team, specialists, home care, hospital team, and any others involved with the client’s care to optimize clinical outcomes. Assist clients with MAP eligibility process if needed and ensure all eligibility processes for submitting an application are followed to ensure successful completion. Documents all client encounters and contacts made with clients utilizing enterprise electronic health record. Assists clients with accessing health related services, including but not limited to obtaining a medical home, providing instruction and appropriate use of the medical home, overcoming barriers to obtaining needed medical care and/ or social services. Participates in client care huddles. Respects patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect. Collaborates, communicates respectfully and professionally with all members of the care team in providing patient-centered care and regarding processes and clinical issues. Develops and maintains favorable internal relationships, partnerships with co-workers, including managers, clinical support staff, providers. Participates in patient care huddles and interdisciplinary case conferences. Participates in continuous quality improvement projects in order to better serve the patient, family and health care system to improve the quality of service provided. Attends staff meetings and education offerings both in person and via teleconference/online as required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Assistant Diploma and/or National Medical Assistant Certification verifying graduation from a Medical Assistant Program or equivalent military healthcare experience. Experience: Completion of a Medical Assistant externship. Licenses and Certifications: Current Texas Drivers License in good standing Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers obtained through approved American Heart Association Travel Requirements: Estimated Amount: Thirty Percent (30%) As part of Bridge community-based services, may travel to designated locations throughout the community to provide healthcare services. May also travel to off-site meetings and trainings.
