The Platform Finance Leader (PFL) will provide financial leadership for a multi-functional business platform leadership team consisting of a VP/GM plus commercial, technical, operational/project management, product management, and supply chain professionals and/or managers. You will be responsible for driving execution of the financial planning, analysis and forecasting processes for the platform(s) ensuring speed, accuracy, quality and efficiency with a focus on budgeting, forecasting, project and product plans and variance analysis, reporting of business results and capital and resource allocation. You will play a key platform leadership role in managing financial performance and implementing finance strategies to achieve committed business performance. The PFL will partner with the business line leader(s), Business Group Finance Director and the CECO FP&A team and deploy financial management initiatives and policies within the platform(s). You will also identify trends and developments in business performance and present findings and recommendations to platform and executive management. This position will report directly to the Business Group Finance Director, and collaborate with its peers in platform financial positions in other regions and platforms, with platform management team, and with the CECO VP, FP&A. Key Responsibilities: Develop a strong business and financial management partnership with the platform leader and leadership team, platform finance peers, and global accounting services and shared services teams. Drive robust financial planning, forecast and execution. Direct the implementation of 80/20 and Lean frameworks with the business lines Communicate business line plans that deliver against financial targets, including contingency and countermeasure plans with Root Cause analyses. . Develop and communicate financial projections and forecasts for Revenue, Orders, Expense, Income and Cash Flow results. Support period-end closing activities to ensure revenue recognition is properly documented. Drive working capital management and efficiency projects. Provide analysis to easily understand Revenue and Margin changes and associated cash flow impact period over period and as compared to forecast. Model, measure and report on productivity initiatives. Lead preparation and management of platform/business line operational and functional expenditure budgets to ensure cost containment and spend management. Prepare, present and deploy platform Annual Operating Plan and team budgets. Prepare and manage annual Capital and Operating Expense budgets and spending. Prepare and present platform Monthly Business Review (MBR) and Quarterly Operating Review (QOR) materials. Support the formulation of platform long/short term strategies and associated Strategic Agenda items and initiatives. Develop models and associated projections to assess and confirm planned growth and financial targets are achieved. Communicate and receive buy-in of these models with the platform leadership team. Assist and co-lead M&A platform projects as needed. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BS ) in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (MBA preferred). A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance planning and analysis or finance leadership role within a diverse global organization in an industrial B2B operating environment Knowledge of Percentage of Completion (POC) project revenue and cost recognition methods and processes. Leadership and mentoring of junior staff. Liaison with Internal Audit and Accounting Services and Shared Services teams. Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS Strong knowledge of ASC606 and CECO revenue recognition policies. Solid computer skill in MS products, including Excel and PowerPoint, supporting planning, modeling, and analysis. Work Environment This position is structured as a hybrid role, allowing for remote work up to 50% of the time, balanced with on-site presence to collaborate closely with respective business teams and peers. When working remotely, the role requires a dedicated home workspace with reliable internet access and a quiet environment conducive to focused, independent work. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing project management and technical direction to our clients for the purpose of delivering safe, cost-effective, and quality execution of medium to large scale environmental exhaust abatement projects. Successful project execution is accomplished by managing all aspects of projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety, quality, and all commercial elements. The Project Engineer will act as the lead contact for all aspects associated with the execution of their assigned project(s). The Project Engineer must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Your Responsibilities Will Be: • Prepare detailed project plans, schedule key project milestones, work flows and activities and provide clear status reports during weekly team meetings & project status reviews.• Address project risks and report through the appropriate channels escalating issues as necessary.• Expertly manage all commercial elements of the project including, budget, expenditures, payment schedules, purchase terms etc. Interface with the accounting team when necessary.• Quickly adapt to changes in scope or budget to ensure timely adherence to the project schedule• Act as the lead contact for the client/stakeholders of the project and manage relationships, while demonstrating expertise.• Develop and maintain positive partnerships with outside resources (i.e., third-party vendors and fabricators).• Expertly coordinate all logistic aspects of the project to ensure timely delivery and install of the project.• Emphasize knowledge transfer when appropriate to cultivate the capabilities of the project team as a whole.• Attentively review product design to ensure compliance with engineering principles and all customer contract requirements.• Plan, schedule, perform and review inspections and tests of parts and equipment as required for project completion/operation which includes travel to client/vendor facilities for field service and quality control reviews.• Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
