This role is mission-critical in ensuring our media measurement remains accurate, future-proof, and fully compliant in an ever-changing digital privacy landscape. You’ll serve as our internal subject matter expert for GTM, digital pixels, data layers, and privacy/cookie compliance, partnering closely with media, analytics, and dev teams. Key Responsibilities Own the implementation, QA, and maintenance of all media pixels and tracking tags (Meta, Google Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, The Trade Desk, etc.) using GTM, including event-based and server-side set-ups. Build and manage robust custom variables to ensure precise, granular tracking for digital campaigns. Design tagging solutions that meet privacy requirements, including support for consent management platforms, cookie consent mode, and evolving privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, CPRA, ITP). Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex tagging isues using browser dev tools, debugging extensions, and network analysis. Collaborate across teams to translate tracking requirements into technical specifications for a variety of website platforms and CMS environments. Stay current on privacy and browser changes, proactively updating processes to address signal loss (e.g., blocked cookies, Apple ITP, Google Consent Mode). Maintain clear, organized documentation of all tag implementations, data layers, and consent requirements. Educate and support internal teams on best practices for measurement and GTM deployments. Recommend and implement technical solutions for measurement in restricted environments (server-side tagging, Meta CAPI, Enhanced Conversions, etc.) Qualifications 3-4 years of hands-on experience in ad operations or tag management with deep expertise in Google Tag Manager (GTM) Advanced knowledge of event-based tracking, data layers, and pixel implementation across major ad platforms. Demonstrated ability to work with privacy and cookie consent frameworks, including real-work experience with GDPR, CCPA, Consent Mode, ITP, and consent management tools (OneTrust, TrustArc, etc.). Comfortable using browser developer tools, network monitors, and debugging utilities to QA and troubleshoot implementations. Experience collaborating with analytics, media, and development teams to deliver accurate, privacy-compliant tracking. Excellent documentation skills and the discipline to maintain process rigor. Strong communicator with the ability to translate complex technical and privacy topics to non-technical audiences. Bonus: Exposure to GA4, Adobe Launch, or server-side GTM. Bonus: Basic JavaScript or JSON skills for troubleshooting/tag configuration. The salary range for this position is listed below. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into cutting-edge video investment plans that drive measurable business outcomes. This individual will create, nurture and maintain relationships with key and core media partners. You'll also foster strong client partnerships and inspire agency-wide expertise in video media. Key Responsibilities • Lead high-level video investment strategy for a key client, with responsibility for both media planning and buying efforts. This individual will leverage data-driven insights and market research to craft innovative, results-focused strategies. • Maintain a deep, current knowledge of the video ecosystem, including national linear TV, streaming platforms, addressable TV, and emerging video channels. Qualifications • Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in video media planning and buying, preferably within an agency setting or media-focused environment. • Expertise: Deep passion for and understanding of the dynamic video landscape, with proven success adapting to and leading through rapid industry changes. • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, adept at collaborating with diverse teams and managing client relationships with diplomacy and professionalism. • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and inspire teams to develop analytic and strategic planning skills. • Flexibility: Comfortable navigating challenges and shifting priorities with agility and a solutions-oriented mindset. • Travel: Willingness to travel as necessary to support client engagements and industry events.
