This is a hybrid role. The Manager role is focused on all facets of lawyer professional development and in guiding professional development strategies firm wide. Duties: Assist in identifying associate career development needs. Manage execution of programs relating to attorney career development. Assist associates with integration issues, explaining firm resources, successfully managing interpersonal conflicts, and addressing career advancement questions. Provide confidential guidance to attorneys on career growth and development, including career planning, time and project management, work/life balance, and next professional career steps. Welcome new associates to the firm and provide them with available resources. Provide support to Management regarding associate needs including staffing/utilization. Provide ongoing analysis of workloads. Identify individual associate training gaps and propose solutions. Maintain relationships within the firm at all levels, establishing a reputation as a trusted advisor for career advice/guidance. Oversee performance evaluation processes in coordination with Directors, focusing on the Senior Associate and Counsel Evaluation processes, working with the Evaluation Committee. Oversee attorney personnel change processes. Collaborate with Directors of Professional Development to develop a system for measuring the effectiveness and ROI of coaching programs, using data-driven insights. Implement strategies to create a pipeline of external opportunities for associates. Assist Director with DC budget for initiatives. Manage junior members of the Professional Development team in DC office. Position Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree or a J.D. preferred. Must have at least five years of career development experience in legal, consulting, or other professional services organizations. Proven success developing/managing career development functions in a multi-office environment. Thorough understanding of best practices in professional development/career development. Strong interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail. Salary range is $118k - $178k plus bonus and generous benefits package.

Supervise document review teams, ensure quality and output, liaise with associates/partners, coordinate with litigation support and eDiscovery vendors, and assist with review quality control and reporting. | JD from accredited US law school, active CA Bar membership, 3+ years document review supervisory experience in AMLAW 100/200 firm, experience with Relativity or similar systems, and flexibility for overtime. | Senior Staff Attorneys – remote - for top tier law firm. Positions are remote but candidates must live within commuting distance to an office in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Palo Alto, CA. These roles are primarily responsible for supervising teams of Staff Attorneys and/or contract attorneys working on large litigation, investigatory, and regulatory matters in the discovery phase. The Senior Staff Attorneys guarantee the review teams are meeting quality/output expectations and functions as liaison between the review team and the associates/partners on cases. Senior Staff Attorneys may also perform document review and analysis work. Duties: Supervision of document review teams ensuring team members are working efficiently and meeting quality and output expectations. Enable communication between document review team and the associates/partners on the case. Coordinate with the litigation support group and/or eDiscovery vendors to resolve end user problems with databases and review systems. Review/analyze/categorize documents/information in online-document review databases and/or hard-copy collections. Assist with review quality control and review metrics reporting processes. Assist in preparing privilege logs and similar tasks. Position Requirements: JD from accredited US law school. Current Relativity Review Management Specialist certification ideal. • *Must have a minimum of three years of document review supervisory experience in an AMLAW 100 or 200 law firm working on large litigation matters. Must have active/current good standing status in the CA Bar. Organizational, interpersonal project coordination, strong service orientation skills required. Flexibility to work OT and help others with deadline intensive projects. Strong prior experience with discovery document review projects and typical workflows. Significant experience with on-line document review systems; Relativity, Nuix Discover, or similar.
