For over two decades, Cabello Associates has created, developed, launched and implemented award-winning branding campaigns, strategic marketing campaigns, and outreach programs for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, non-profits, health care companies, higher education, life sciences, and faith-based entities. We are seeking compassionate, outgoing, and people-oriented individuals to join our state-wide outreach team. This role is for individuals who enjoy helping, supporting, and sharing information with diverse people and in varied settings, with a focus on health, social services, education, and community and nonprofit spaces. Flexibility, teamwork, organization, a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and follow-through are critical to this position. This position will require sustained periods of work at events and will require travel throughout the assigned region/counties (day travel by car only, no overnight travel). Responsibilities: This role supports the implementation of health plan community outreach activities for Medicaid populations. This role is responsible for serving the Medicaid populations and supporting community organizations that serve these populations, including meeting community needs for ongoing educational and social service outreach to existing. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: • Act as service representative for assigned projects and as a resource to membership and community. • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with community organizations, nonprofits, provider offices, with a particular focus on faith-based organizations, schools, and enhancing team presence in community. • Serve as a team representative at community events, fairs, activities, and programs. • Identify relevant community networks and advocacy groups with similar missions and values and communicate the information to management. • Provide outreach and/or guidance to plan members regarding benefit questions, and/or provide assistance regarding social service needs. • Identify and enlist the cooperation of individuals, groups, social service agencies, and other community organizations in educational and outreach activities. • At times will require lifting, carrying, and setting up displays and outreach materials up to 50 lbs. at events, moving promotional items, and other event duties. • Will include extensive travel throughout assigned counties and requires flexible work schedule given nature of serving Medicaid populations. • Ensure consistent compliance with all state, federal, and company-specific requirements. Qualifications: • An Associate Degree at minimum. BA/BS preferred. • Reside in Elkhart, IN or Elkhart County preferred. • 1-2 year of paid or volunteer experience in health care, social services, outreach, community engagement, or sales/marketing environment. • Experience as a health care navigator preferred. • Experience in public health, social services, or related field a plus. • Excellent communication skills required. • Passion for customer service and building meaningful relationships. • Energetic, outgoing, and well-spoken. • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage several projects at once. • Knowledge of nonprofit and community/health and human services organizations/agencies in Elkhart, St. Joseph, Starke, Marshall, Pulaski, Fulton, Kosciusko, Cass, Miami, & Wabash counties. • Position requires flexible hours and scheduling to support meetings and events in the evening and occasionally on weekends. • Must be flexible and able to enjoy a varied workload. • Must have reliable transportation (access to a motor vehicle), valid driver's license, and motor vehicle insurance. Frequent car travel throughout assigned counties. Computer Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of Salesforce preferred. Job Type: Full-time salaried position. Salary: Starting at $48,000 / Salary commensurate with experience.
