This role will collaborate closely with internal sales teams, business development, and industry leaders to support the growth and development of the Actuation & Control (A&C) product line. Essential Job Functions And Responsibilities • Local Expertise: Serve as the recognized subject matter expert in control valves, actuation, and associated markets, providing technical leadership and support. • Sales Collaboration: Actively participate in sales calls with key accounts and Bray sales representatives to drive actuation and control valve sales. • Strategic Sales Support: Work closely with General Managers and the A&C Business Development team to execute strategic sales activities and the overall A&C vision in their respective regions. • Customer-Centric Solutions: Develop deep relationships with customers to understand their business needs and create tailored product solutions specific to their industries. • Industry Focus: Collaborate with Industry Managers to implement regional strategies for key markets such as Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Chemicals, Sugar & Ethanol, Pulp & Paper, and Power. • Training and Education: Organize and lead technical training seminars for local Bray sales teams and key channel partners on a regular basis, ensuring knowledge transfer and product understanding. • Field Troubleshooting: Act as the local technical expert to troubleshoot and resolve technical field-level problems. • Market Insights: Provide the General Managers and A&C Business Development team with feedback on industry trends, product pricing, and any product gaps within the region. • Quotation Review: Review and validate A&C sales quotations to ensure proper product selection and maximize the probability of success. • Sales Coordination: Engage with regional Application Engineering and Inside Sales teams to ensure accurate and timely quotations of A&C packages, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Qualifications And Core Competencies • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related technical field (e.g., Engineering, Mechanical, or Industrial) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. • Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of successful experience in engineering, technical sales, or industrial sales, particularly involving valves, flow control, pumps, or instrumentation products. • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of control valves, actuation systems, and associated markets. Familiarity with Butterfly Valves, Ball Valves, Knife Gate Valves, and Control Valves is preferred. • Sales Acumen: Proven ability to identify customer needs and translate them into appropriate product solutions, demonstrating a strong understanding of the sales process and technical requirements. • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) for effective customer service, technical presentations, and relationship management. • Tech Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Dynamics 365 or other CRM software. Strong documentation and reporting skills are required. • Travel Requirements: Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time, both within and outside the region as required. • Additional Requirements: A valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company vehicle policy. Qualifications and Skills • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or minimum of 5 years of related industry experience • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with a proactive and organized approach. • Strong leadership skills, adept at leading cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise in Microsoft Project or similar project management tools. • Familiarity with contract terms and conditions, as well as company and project financial structures. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate technical and commercial discussions confidently. • Experience in industrial valves, actuators, or related flow control products is highly desirable. • Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed.
