As we continue to pursue new goals, it is an exciting time to join the Bragg team. We are currently hiring a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager in our Long Beach, CA headquarters. Job Overview The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will oversee the planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise's financial operations, provide financial control work and report directly to the CFO. The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager collaborates with various stakeholders, including senior management, finance, and operations teams to drive financial performance and support the achievement of business objectives. This role, while a Senior role within the organization, is a hands-on role and will be intimately involved in the day-to-day operations of the finance department. This role will be part of a Corporate Finance team supporting Corporate Finance strategic initiatives while being a hands-on Finance business partner supporting operational leaders on planning, forecasting, KPI's and various dashboards and analytics to help drive transformational operational improvements across the Enterprise. Key Responsibilities • Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead divisional and business unit financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis. Develop financial models and support ad-hoc financial projects. • Strategic Financial Leadership: Provide decision support and financial strategy guidance to senior leadership. Oversee capital asset analysis including ROI and business case evaluations. • Operational & Systems Oversight: Collaborate on the development and implementation of core financial systems and processes. Facilitate financial systems upgrades, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation. • Policy, Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and other regulatory standards. Maintain integrity of revenue processes and enforce financial policies and procedures. • Reporting & Performance Management: Deliver accurate financial and operational reports with insights on trends and variances. Define and track key performance indicators aligned with strategic objectives. • Business Development & Support: Draft business plans for new products, services, and markets. Support strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects led by the CFO and executive team. • Working Capital & Resource Management: Optimize collections, procurement, and inventory strategies to manage working capital. • Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Leadership: Promote best practices in finance and stay current with industry trends and technologies. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. • Professional Experience: 12+ years in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) with 8+ years in progressive leadership roles; experience supporting senior management in a hands-on role. • Industry Experience: Union labor experience; prior finance experience at the corporate or divisional level for organizations with revenues of $500M+. • Accounting & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and financial compliance standards; ability to provide ethical financial counsel to executive leadership. • Leadership & Strategy: Strong leadership skills with ability to evaluate and optimize team performance; strong business acumen and strategic judgment. Proven success in business transformations and building out finance functions. • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and Power BI skills; high proficiency in implementing and managing enterprise finance applications; experience with system integrations in complex environments. • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. Preferred Qualifications • Education: Master's degree in Business Administration. • Certifications: Construction Management certification. • Industry Experience: Experience in the construction or equipment industry; public company experience. • Financial Systems Expertise: Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), Dayforce, and multi-dimensional financial reporting systems. • Process Improvement: Familiarity with LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement practices. Work Environment • Location: Ability to work in our Corporate Headquarters in Long Beach, CA. • Physical Demands: Standard office environment with prolonged periods of sitting and computer use. May occasionally require standing or moving between office areas.
