Technically responsible for all NA production line designs, RFQs and processes. Act as chief manufacturing liaison between regional business unit and North American transmission controls production facilities (US& MX). Constantly review planned production costs and lead main actions to correct major deviations with the manufacturing leaders in the region. Work as main customer contact for major delivery challenges in the region. Handle production line cost improvements for North American transmission controls production facilities (US & MX). Track and support the on-time implementation of key operational measures to ensure the planned production cost for each product and the related production lines. Assess the capacity and cost provided from purchasing team of the complete supply base. Define the correct volume allocation in alignment with the global business unit for every request for quotation for the manufacturing capacity in the region. Review and release the Planned Production Cost (PPC) to be used in the project calculation for the official quotations. Create strategic NA transmission control long term planning for future current products and growth. Manage all NA production line future products, shift to electrification in NA automotive environment. Oversee all NA production line future products, thermal systems (hydraulic solenoid) oil cooling and coolant cooling designs. Accountable for business representative in purchase components and work with local and global purchasing for NA manufacturability. Strategize long and short-term growth and engagement with customers for products and services. Create strategic Transmission Controls planning for future products and growth and support regional business unit yearly strategy. Ensure acquisition of future business with cost optimization and competitive pricing. Work on product cost assessment and negotiations with material buyers and plant value stream leaders. Involve in product support planning and work as owner business planning and market predictions. Oversee Global TC alignment and communications with BU and RBU. Conduct pricing strategy and costs deviation assessment for business acquisitions and plant costing (material, value add & logistics) lead for regional business unit. Act as Aftermarket lead and provide Serial support for future TC products for introduction into AA market. (PLCM activities). Lead communication with regional and global business unit pertaining to product and manufacturing process and product strategies. Define and asses the key premises for the regional manufacturing footprint for solenoids and modules. Assess and review key performance indicators from the manufacturing production facilities in the region producing solenoids and modules (including plastic molding, winding, and controller subassemblies). Assess and review the overall capacity for the North America production footprint for solenoids and modules (including plastic molding, winding, and controller subassemblies). Review and release line concept changes in the production lines for solenoids and modules (Including plastic molding processes and winding machines for subassemblies). Assess and review quality claims from solenoids and modules customers. Assess and release key processes changes in the manufacturing lines for solenoids and module production. Release risk assessments for solenoids and modules manufacturing processes changes and implementation. Track and review the supply base critical challenges (capacity, performance, etc.) to ensure the most effective contribution to the product costs from the suppliers. Lead special projects with identified suppliers to contain, correct and implement the solutions that will ensure the continuous supply and planned costs (since planning to customer release). REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Plus 7 years of as a Manufacturing Global Coordinator, Value Stream Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Product Manager or occupation involving manufacturing strategies for long term profitability based upon productivity, manufacturing cost and scrap reduction.
