Senior Director, Product Lead – Data Strategy Group, Integrated Middle Office

BNY MellonNew York, New YorkFull-time
View Job
Compensation$150K - 220K a year

Lead strategy and execution for data delivery and standardization across middle office operations. | Significant product management or data strategy experience in financial services with leadership in complex initiatives and familiarity with investment platforms. | BNY is seeking a Senior Director, Product Lead – Data Strategy Group within the Integrated Middle Office organization. This position is located in New York, NY or Boston, MA. This leader will define and drive the strategy, operating model, and execution framework for how data is delivered across the Integrated Middle Office business, including Core Middle Office, ETF, Alternatives, and Partner Solutions such as Bloomberg AIM and BlackRock Solutions.   This role is central to shaping the future of client data delivery. Our data strategy is anchored on a clear objective: to deliver continuous, consistent, and repeatable data outcomes for clients, regardless of channel. The intent is to remove ambiguity around delivery ownership, improve accountability for client outcomes, and ensure that how data is delivered is standardized, scalable, and predictable across the organization.   At the heart of this strategy is a deliberate separation of “what” versus “how.” The “what” is the data content and data products clients consume. The “how” is the delivery mechanism—the channels, standards, controls, and patterns through which that data is delivered. This role is primarily focused on leading the “how”: establishing a consistent and industrialized approach to data delivery across channels, improving execution discipline, and enabling a more scalable and client-centric delivery model. The successful candidate will work across product, operations, technology, architecture, and client-facing teams to standardize delivery frameworks, clarify ownership, and drive a more cohesive end-to-end model for client data distribution.   In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:  * Define and lead the data product strategy and roadmap for Integrated Middle Office * Establish clear ownership, governance, and accountability for data products and client outcomes * Standardize data product definitions, delivery principles, and operating models across business lines * Partner across business, technology, operations, and client-facing teams to execute the target-state strategy * Drive simplification, scalability, and consistency across data offerings and delivery channels * Lead and develop a high-performing product team focused on data strategy and execution   To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:  * Significant experience in product management, data strategy, or business transformation within financial services * Strong knowledge of middle office, investment operations, ETFs, alternatives, or related domains * Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a large, matrixed organization * Experience defining strategy, building roadmaps, and delivering measurable business outcomes * Strong stakeholder management, communication, and team leadership skills * Experience with partner platforms such as Bloomberg AIM and BlackRock Solutions  * Understanding of data products, governance, and scalable delivery models * Familiarity with modern data and client delivery architecture At BNY, our culture allows us to run our company better and enables employees’ growth and success. As a leading global financial services company at the heart of the global financial system, we influence nearly 20% of the world’s investible assets.
