Designing and building scalable web applications and APIs, optimizing website performance, and collaborating on projects. | One year of full-stack development experience, proficiency in modern frameworks, and experience with databases and caching technologies. | 🌍 Remote-friendly · Outcome-driven Want to build backend systems that directly impact revenue - not just ship features that nobody measures? This is not a typical backend role where you maintain legacy services, close Jira tickets, and disappear into the engineering backlog. You’ll build internal infrastructure and AI workflows that our Monetization team relies on daily - and you’ll see the impact of your work fast. Now we’re building an internal platform that powers our monetization engine - and we’re looking for a backend engineer who can own the systems behind it. About BlueThrone BlueThrone is a remote-first company scaling a portfolio of mobile apps across multiple markets and categories. We combine product intuition, growth execution, and sharp monetization strategy - and we double down on what works. We’re not a corporate org with layers and slow approvals. We operate like a lean, high-ownership team where strong execution matters more than fancy titles. Our teams work closely across product, growth, monetization, and engineering - and we care about one thing: building things that move the needle. The role You’ll join a lean, horizontal team building our internal revenue optimization platform. Your mission: build backend APIs and production-grade agentic AI workflows that help our monetization team move faster, run smarter experiments, and scale winning strategies across our app portfolio. You’ll be building core infrastructure, making architectural decisions, and shipping systems that will be used daily by the team. What you'll do Build and maintain backend services in Python Design scalable APIs (FastAPI or similar frameworks) Build and deploy agentic AI workflows in production (not just prototypes) Work closely with Monetization stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable systems Own backend architecture, delivery, reliability, and iteration speed Improve observability, performance, and system robustness over time Work with CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure Build services running on Docker / Kubernetes / Helm Collaborate with engineers working on Go services (or grow into Go over time) What we're looking for 7+ years of commercial software development experience Strong proficiency in Python Strong backend fundamentals and a builder mindset Proven experience building APIs (FastAPI or similar) Track record of deploying agentic AI workflows into production Experience with PostgreSQL Experience with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD tooling Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm High ownership, strong judgment, and ability to execute independently ⭐️ Bonus points if you have Experience with Go (or willingness to learn it quickly - many services are in Go) Background in experimentation platforms, A/B testing, or monetization systems Strong product sense (you care about what the system enables, not just how it’s built) Why this role might be a great fit This is a role for someone who wants their work to matter and have real impact. At BlueThrone, you won’t spend weeks discussing architecture in circles. You’ll ship, iterate, and improve fast. You’ll fit here if… You’re not waiting to be told what to do - you see the problem and solve it You care about building clean systems, but you care even more about impact You’ve shipped real production systems (and dealt with real production issues) You prefer fast decisions, high trust, and a team that expects you to think like an owner You want to build infrastructure that directly supports revenue growth If you want to build backend infrastructure + AI workflows that power a real monetization engine - not a demo - this is your seat 🎯 Equal opportunities for everyone 💖 We believe the best teams are diverse teams. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and experiences. We consider all candidates regardless of age, ethnicity, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, national origin, veteran status, neurodiversity, or disability.
