Design and implement scalable data ingestion pipelines and optimize data architecture for client environments. | Requires 4+ years in data engineering with expertise in Snowflake, SQL, Python, and experience with AEP or similar platforms. | We are seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to join our consulting team. In this role, you will design, implement, and optimize scalable data ingestion pipelines that deliver high-quality sales, customer, and operational data into Snowflake and downstream into Adobe Experience Platform (AEP). You will work with enterprise clients, advising them on best practices for upstream data architecture, identity readiness, and XDM data modeling to power Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics, AJO and personalization programs. This is a consulting role—ideal for someone who is comfortable interfacing with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions, and delivering high-impact data engineering work within complex client environments. Key Responsibilities Client Delivery & Advisory Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients on Snowflake architecture, data ingestion patterns, and upstream data readiness for AEP. Participate in client workshops to understand business goals, data sources, and marketing activation needs. Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Contribute to discovery sessions, solution design presentations, and technical documentation. Data Ingestion & Pipeline Engineering Design and build Snowflake-based ingestion pipelines for client sales, product, CRM, and digital datasets. Implement robust batch and streaming ingestion frameworks aligned to AEP latency, sequencing, and data freshness requirements. Integrate data from diverse client systems (ERP, CRM, POS, ecommerce, 3rd-party sources, cloud storage). Data Modeling & AEP Alignment Structure and transform client data into AEP-ready formats, ensuring alignment with XDM classes, identity namespaces, and event schemas. Develop data pipelines that support identity stitching, master ID mapping, email hashing, and customer profile enrichment. Ensure upstream structures support downstream activation, segmentation, analytics, and journey orchestration. Data Quality, Governance & Observability Implement data quality gates, validation rules, schema drift detection, and anomaly alerts across client environments. Advise clients on data governance best practices, metadata standards, and ongoing data stewardship. Monitor and optimize data ingestion performance, warehouse utilization, and cost efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with AEP Architects, RTCDP Engineers, CJA Consultants, client IT/CRM teams, and marketing stakeholders. Translate client business requirements into technical designs and actionable engineering tasks. Troubleshoot data issues impacting AEP profile counts, identity resolution, source-of-truth consistency, and downstream reporting. Continuous Improvement & Consulting Excellence Contribute reusable frameworks, documentation, and accelerators to improve future AEP projects. Stay current on new Snowflake and AEP features to guide clients toward scalable, modern solutions. Lead or support internal knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and solution development. Qualifications 4+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer or Snowflake Data Engineer, ideally in a consulting or multi-client setting. Deep expertise in Snowflake (SQL, Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, performance tuning, RBAC). Strong proficiency with SQL, Python, and modern ELT/ETL tools (DBT, Airflow, Matillion, Informatica, etc.). Experience designing pipelines that feed Adobe Experience Platform or similar customer data platforms. Familiarity with XDM schemas, identity graphs, hashed identifiers, event-based data models, and profile stitching concepts. Strong understanding of data warehousing, MDM concepts, and data quality practices. Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to interact directly with clients. Preferred Experience Hands-on experience with AEP, RTCDP, CJA, or similar marketing technology ecosystems. Prior consulting experience delivering multi-phase data, analytics, or MarTech projects. Working knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce, Dynamics), ecommerce platforms, and POS architectures. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities • Technical ownership and authority of the assigned client projects • Enforce best practices for development on Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform • Architect and design Adobe Commerce (Magento) solutions and integrations based on client requirements • Ensure the solution that is delivered is consistent with company development policies and standards. • Perform quality review of work products (post facto) • Peer programming when needed • Participate in project discoveries to provide technical support and to ensure that we understand client requests from an engineering perspective • Technical escalation point for the project team and clients assisted by the Technical Lead • Support the project team through key project events (e.g planning sessions, release demos, UAT sessions, site launch) • Provide highly efficient development effort when necessary • Work with technical leads, and sr. software engineers to provide technical approaches for the overall goals of the project • Work with the Digital Solutions Consultant and Project Manager regarding development impacts to scope, budget, timeline, quality, and resource utilization. • Provide technical consultation to the client to help them make decisions based on technical experience • Assist with Pull Requests, Code Reviews, and Deployments in support of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform • Provide expertise and recommendations on the impact of UI/UX recommendations on the frontend of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform • Provide expertise and recommendations on the impact of integrations and data on the frontend and backend of the Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform • Provide assistance for onboarding, training and knowledge sharing of new project contributors • Communication with prospective clients regarding our process, potential architecture for business solutions for the proposed engagement • Support sales staff with training and demos for Adobe Commerce (Magento) platform solutions • Estimate the level of effort for potential deliverables Qualifications • Adobe Commerce certifications - Adobe Certified Expert • 5+ years of experience Adobe Commerce development • 3+ years of experience working on Adobe Commerce enterprise solutions • Ability to learn new skills quickly • Able to work independently with minimal supervision • Expert knowledge of engineering and platform technologies, concepts, procedures, and practices. • Leadership skills. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, develop value measurement frameworks, and guide customers through integrated Adobe solution journeys that deliver tangible business outcomes.
