We are looking for a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Dir, Supplier Quality and based in Texas, Delaware, or San Jose sites. As a Principal Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be a part of the team responsible for setting and managing the quality and reliability standards for our fuel cell components across Bloom Energy; you will work closely with supply chain and engineering as part of a cross functional team. We are looking for a Quality expert with a track record of improving the quality during New Product Introduction as well as maintaining it throughout its life cycle. We are looking for someone who is hands-on, can manage both long term trends and projects, and have extensive involvement in the tools and techniques used to assess product quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, driven, energetic, detailed, team oriented and patient with data. Role and Responsibilities: • Assess the capability of potential suppliers. • Assess the manufacturability of new product designs and assist both engineering and suppliers with improving manufacturability. • Manage product and process development with suppliers. • Assist suppliers with development of manufacturing processes. • Review prototype and production part quality document submissions from suppliers, and provide feedback. • Issue corrective action requests to suppliers and provide support with their resolution. • Provide support to Manufacturing, Quality, and Engineering regarding analysis and disposition of suspect supplier material. • Drive continuous improvement throughout the supply base using quality and lean manufacturing tools. • Improve supplier quality processes such as assessments, supplier management, part approval, and corrective actions. • Participate in Supplier selection and evaluation. Work cross-functionally to establish quality requirements for external suppliers. • Lead high visibility root cause investigations by applying “8D” problem solving. Education, Skills and Experience: • BS, (or MS or Ph.D.), in one of the following: Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Materials Science or Physics • Must be able to establish technical credibility with the Engineering Staff. • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience • Quality Management System auditing experience. • Strong Project/Process Management skills and capabilities particularly in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing Quality processes. • Sound interpersonal skills and strong ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships. • Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams. • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Experience with Statistical tools such as JMP, R, and Tableau are a plus. • Ability to prepare and effectively present formal reports to both internal and external customers. • Practical working knowledge and application of SPC. • Flexibility within a rapidly changing, dynamic working environment. • Demonstrated self-initiative and sound judgment on technical projects and improvement initiatives. • Possesses a bias for action and an ability to multitask • Ability to travel 0-20% of time. Job Summary: As the Commercial Operations Director - Data Center at Bloom Energy, you will serve as a critical bridge between cross-functional GTM teams and the Data Center business. This leadership role will be responsible for defining sales processes, developing operational playbooks, and executing key initiatives related to sales proposals, pricing scenarios, RFPs, and contracts. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management skillset, expertise in contract negotiations, and ability to work across various internal stakeholders (i.e. sales, application engineering, operations, legal, and structured finance). This role is essential in maintaining our operational excellence and supporting our team’s growth and success in the competitive data center power solutions market.
