Team Overview: The Alternatives Client Services (ACS) team provides comprehensive support for BlackRock's private market products,. The team manages key functions such as investor servicing, onboarding, and report distribution while maintaining strong oversight of third-party service providers, including transfer agents and tax providers. The ACS team operates across two primary pillars: • Product Lifecycle & Investor Servicing: Acting as subject matter experts, this pillar oversees the investor onboarding lifecycle including prequalification, and subscription agreement completion, AML/KYC review and reporting setups. The Solutions Strategy team works within MASS to coordinate and lead the implementation of whole portfolio engagements and similar assignments. Manager Strategy are responsible for ensuring there is a consistent operating model for implementing managers into whole portfolio solutions at scale. Position Overview & Key Responsibilities We are seeking a high-performing, motivated professional to join the Manager Strategy team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of sub-advised manager relationships, helping implement whole portfolio solutions at scale across public and private markets. The ideal candidate is a natural connector, someone who thrives in cross-functional, collaborative environments and is passionate about delivering operational excellence. You will work across the MASS ecosystem, including close collaboration with Core Portfolio Management, Client CIO team, Solutions Strategy team, and partners across Distribution, Legal, Operations, and Technology. In this role, you will: • Lead all aspects of sub-advised manager lifecycle activity (onboarding, change management, and termination) across public and private markets investment structures, strategies, and instruments and client channels. • Understand and optimize the complex ecosystem of Investment implementation spanning Operational, Regulatory and Investment structure of Multi-Manager and Pension Portfolios. • Partner across MASS ecosystem to ensure a consistent and cohesive sub-advised manager communication and engagement model. • Serve as the central point of contact for BlackRock and client during sub-advised manager lifecycle activity and ongoing sub-advised manager oversight. • Coordinate regulatory implementation and cross sub-advised manager projects related to regulatory obligations. • Contribute to innovation and platform strategy initiatives to increase operational efficiency and scalability. • Drive and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing workflows, tools, and systems, with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation to meet the evolving demands of the business and deliver superior outcomes for clients. Desired Qualifications: • 5-8 years of asset management or financial services experience, preferably across a wide range of investment styles and traditional and alternative investment products. • Proven ability to lead complex projects and engage stakeholders across teams and regions • Experience with legal and commercial term contract negotiations, including investment guidelines and structuring. • Experience across different asset classes (including equities, fixed income and alternatives), derivatives and separately managed accounts is preferable. • Experience working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative, global environment. • Knowledge of various regulations and impact on a broad range of client types and investment strategies. • Inclination for process design, able to handle various projects simultaneously, and remain calm when multi-tasking under compressed timelines. • Detail and outcome oriented with intellectual curiosity that drives solution-based proposals. • Strong communicator with an ability to synthesize sophisticated topics to a broad set of internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships and networks. • Strong interest to learn about and use Aladdin; a familiarity with Aladdin a plus.
