Global Solution Architect Team – Professional Services (East Coast) Are you interested in joining a fast-growing organization in the application security space, which is in the top spot of Gartner's Magic Quadrant for application security? Are you a technologist who wants to make a massive impact on Customers and help them develop high-quality, secure software faster? We want to speak to you! We are seeking a motivated post sales Solution Architect to join our Professional Services team. The ideal candidate will bridge the technical and business requirements of our security solutions, working closely with new customers or prospects along with Black Duck pre-sales and services teams to identify the best workflow for utilizing our solutions to satisfy the customer's needs. Scoping the services required to achieve this, including both product and strategy consulting, mapping out a blueprint of how to implement our products to achieve the recommended solution that satisfies the customer's compliance requirements at scale. Key Responsibilities: • Lead solution architecture discussions and develop plans and steps to integrate Black Duck products into customer DevSecOps workflows • Analyze customer environments and requirements to design and propose the services required to best utilize Black Duck products for their needs • Identify the need for strategy consulting to help build out the customer's AppSec program and compliance directives, and work with strategy consulting to scope the required services • Collaborate with services teams and sales leads, along with the product teams, to scope, document, and deliver customer solutions as warranted. • Closely working with the implementation team to ensure the proposed solution is implemented as designed and adapting as required. • Identify, document, and communicate best practices and bake into proposed solutions. • Create and deliver compelling technical presentations and documentation tailored to various technical and business stakeholders • Provide technical consultation on static application security testing (SAST), software composition analysis (SCA), and dynamic application security testing (DAST) solutions • Learn new software development technologies and techniques to better understand how Black Duck products and/or services can be used. • Collaborate with product teams, and other functional groups, by providing customer feedback and ideas for how to improve Black Duck products and services. • Act as a mentor to others Required Qualifications: • 5+ years' experience in consulting, solution architecture, or related customer facing technical role • Technical background in software development or scripting • Deep knowledge of the SDLC is essential • Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines • e.g. 5+ years' experience as a software developer • Solid understanding of software container concepts, including images, containers, registries, and container lifecycles • Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker or equivalent container runtimes • Experience scoping custom solutions and scripting, identifying edge cases and blockers up front to ensure the solution is achievable • Able and willing to travel up to 20% as the job requires Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in application security tools (SAST, SCA, DAST, IAST) and processes a plus • Experience with Black Duck or Coverity a huge asset • Python scripting utilizing REST APIs • Knowledge of container orchestration platforms (e.g. Kubernetes), including deployment, scaling, and service management • Experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure cloud platforms • Technical aptitude: Understanding of general development techniques, tools and features of various languages, though coding is not a primary job function • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging with technical and business stakeholders • Ability to manage multiple concurrent customer engagements. Proven ability to prioritize activities, set objectives and meet milestones • Adaptability: Flexible thinking and ability to adjust approach based on customer needs • The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong business acumen, demonstrating the ability to understand customer challenges. • Be passionate about application security and motivated to help organizations improve their security posture through innovative solutions.
