Managing all aspects of summer camp operations, staff recruitment, customer relations, and compliance. | High school diploma or GED, management experience, and camp supervisory experience. | Step into a role as a S&K Camp Director where in this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing an innovative, kid-centric summer day camp, as well as other seasonal break programs and pop-up childcare events throughout the year. On-site manager responsible for all facets of a day camp that runs 9-10 weeks, with an average of 150 campers per day generating 6-7 figure revenue; also responsible for managing other holiday break programs (winter and spring) and pop-up child care events at school and day care facilities in their community. Handles crisis, emergency, behavioral and medical response as needed when issues come up at camp or in other childcare settings. Manages all customer contact for their programs, including responding to email and phone inquiries in a timely fashion, providing exceptional customer service, and handling sensitive and escalated matters for hundreds of prospective and attending camp families. Develops relationships with local schools, PTAs, businesses and other organizations to create promotional opportunities for the camp by offering cash, in-kind donations and camp services / programming in exchange for marketing. Leads online and in-person promotional events and presentations for prospective families regularly throughout the pre-season. Manages compliance processes and ensures implementation of company, city and state required policies for camps and/or childcare facilities as applicable to their locality. Manages a six-figure budget for personnel, food and programming. Oversees all logistics and inventory management functions for hundreds of items valued in excess of six-figures, which are needed to run camp programs. Manages relationship with host school that rents out facility where camp runs; also responsible for overseeing janitorial arrangements, security and site planning to ensure sanitary, safe and smooth operations. Negotiates terms and manages relationship with local vendors that provide food and programming for their camp. Qualifications At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required Bachelors Degree preferred Directors must have at least two seasons of camp supervisory experience. An equivalent combination of experience working in a child care or education setting for at least one year coupled with supervisory experience will be considered to satisfy this requirement. Additional Job Requirements Past management or leadership experience is required; experience hiring and managing teams of 5 or more is preferred During camp programs, Director is expected to be on-site. When camps are not in session, most planning work can be done remotely, but Directors are expected to be actively marketing, recruiting staff and promoting camp in their community. On-site management at camp can be physically demanding, with extended periods of time on your feet, outside and occasional activity requiring physical exertion. Directors will be expected to run break camps throughout the year. What you will be doing: Establish an understanding of the Bright Horizons environment, from applications to infrastructure, keeping up to date with material changes and future direction. Develop and execute technological information security requirements and solutions to meet global regulations and policies and in conjunction with company standards. Developing early warning systems to detect, respond and mitigate risks to both the business and customer environments. Partnering closely within the security organization, infrastructure, and application development teams to harden accounts, platforms, and service structures to combat potential compromises. Provide guidance to other teams and contractors at varied implementation levels. Assist in the evaluation of 3rd party vendors involved in information security projects and processes; partnering with selected vendors where needed. Perform current system or platform security analysis and documentation. Produce a quality work product while addressing risks and meeting allotted completion timeframes. Perform vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts, coordinating with cross-functional teams Perform ad-hoc penetration testing targeting applications, networking equipment or a variety of endpoint operating systems to confirm status of vulnerabilities. Keep up to date with information security trends, driving appropriate changes through the enterprise. Conduct evaluations of new security technologies. Provide information security expertise in infrastructure platform support throughout all phases of break-fix (problem identification, resolution, test, deployment, and turnover). Review access logs and security alerts, promptly addressing issues where necessary. Participate in breach and information security related investigations, documentation, and remediation. Building and maintaining policies and reports for all security monitoring tools in corporate and public facing environments such as web and email DLP, SIEM, enterprise AV, IDS and AD. Encourage and guide teams in the adoption of security best practices. Participate in infrastructure strategic planning and budget process. Effectively communicate relevant security information to superiors. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully in both written and verbal conversations. Keep teams well informed of security requirements and changes within the organization. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Information Assurance, Computer Science, Network Security or a related field. 3+ years of additional experience would be considered in lieu of degree 3+ years System and/or Network Administration Able to travel to selected sites (1 or 2 trips per year) Preferred Qualifications/Skills: 1-3 years of Information Security experience GCIA, GCIH, CEH, Security+ certifications Experience providing incident response/offensive security/SOC support. Experience automating security tooling, alerting and remediation workflows, especially security enrichment, reduction and correlation. Vulnerability management experience, focused on prioritizing known vulnerabilities forremediation at scale and classifying previously unknown vulnerabilities. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (JavaScript, Bash, Python, Perl, PowerShell) Experience in agile methodologies, segregation of duties and change control. Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Visio Strong verbal/written communications to include technical writing and presenting. Ability to work in fast paced priority demanding environment Salary and Other Compensation Disclosures The annual starting salary rate for this position is between $75,000 - $101,000 annually. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
