Senior Manager Brand and Consumer Insights The Senior Manager, Consumer, Shopper & Innovation Insights is a strategic partner to the business, responsible for translating holistic consumer and shopper understanding into clear decisions and measurable commercial impact. This role integrates consumer behavior, shopper dynamics, and innovation insight to inform brand strategy, innovation pipelines, and go-to-market execution responsible to drive growth and bring sustainable consumer-driven innovation to USD 1 billion business. Success is defined not by insight generation alone, but by the ability to shape decisions, influence outcomes, and accelerate growth across the organization. Business Growth & Insight Integration Embed consumer, shopper, and innovation insights across brand strategy, commercialization, and innovation to drive growth and competitive advantage; Synthesize complex, multi-source evidence into clear priorities, recommendations, and actions; Act as a continuous sensing function, identifying shifts in consumer behavior, culture, and the marketplace to proactively guide business response; Ability to test and learn fast but validate robustly. Strategic Influence & Decision Support Partner with senior leaders across Marketing, Commercial Strategy, Innovation, Media, and the newly created BDT and ECF forums; Influence decisions at multiple levels through clarity, strong storytelling, and consumer- and shopper-insight-driven business acumen; Ensure consumer and shopper insight is a critical input into major business and investment decisions; Maintain a strong external radar to drive brand and category growth with lagging, current, and leading indicators. Innovation & Future Focus Guide consumer-led innovation strategies by identifying unmet needs and future growth opportunities; Build and apply a cross-category innovation testing process that increases launch success rates; Translate cultural, technological, and commerce trends into actionable innovation implications. Activation & Impact Deliver insight in activation-ready formats tailored to stakeholder decision needs; Connect human insight to commercial levers including positioning, pricing, packaging, media, retail execution, and innovation; Track and demonstrate the impact of insights where possible. People & Capability Leadership Lead and develop insight talent, strengthening both technical expertise and influence skills; Foster a culture of curiosity, learning, and constructive challenge; Show assertiveness, perseverance, resilience, and agility; Manage agency partners and budgets to maximize ROI. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; Extensive experience leading consumer and/or shopper insights in complex organizations; Demonstrated track record of translating insight into tangible business outcomes; Experience managing agencies, budgets, and cross-functional stakeholders; Strong exposure to brand strategy, innovation, and commercialization. WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following: Required: 5+ years of software development experience. Experience building mobile applications with a cross-platform tool (Kotlin Multiplatform or React Native). Experience developing apps for iOS and Android platforms (Swift and Kotlin). Solid understanding of architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVC). Experience releasing applications through the App Store and Google Play. Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems. Experience with testing and automation tools. Strong communication skills — able to convey technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical collaborators. By combining global domain ownership with multi-market execution, this role bridges strategy and delivery. It ensures that enterprise standards, data products, and governance frameworks are shaped by real market needs, while initiatives markets i.e. U.S. and Canada benefit from scalable governance, reusable customer data products, and cross-market best practices. As AI becomes a core operating layer for commercial decision-making, customer data is evolving from fragmented records and reporting support into continuous commercial intelligence. This role will help shape that future by strengthening data foundations, improving governance, resolving duplication, and enabling intelligent systems that support faster insight generation, more personalized engagement, better investment decisions, and scalable growth across markets, channels, and customer types. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Global: Define the global vision, roadmap, and success measures for consolidated customer data, including acquisition, governance, activation, and value realization in partnership with Insights & Analytics, Marketing, Sales, Finance, IT, Procurement, and external data providers. Define and enforce global governance standards, taxonomies, data policies, and quality frameworks across the full data lifecycle — from ingestion to consumption — ensuring compliance with GDPR, data privacy, licensing terms, and applicable regulatory requirements in partnership with Legal and IT. Own the global consolidated customer data quality and enrichment strategy, including standards, matching algorithms, and scoring models that keep profiles accurate, deduplicated, complete, and fit for activation and AI use. Partner with cross-functional teams—including Digital, Data, Technology, Customer & Commercial, Media, and Operating Units—to design global-to-local data flows, integration models, and activation strategies that connect structured and unstructured data across markets. Establish and coordinate a global network of Data Owners and Business Data Stewards, providing clear accountability, escalation paths, and decision-making forums across markets. Co-shape the Master Data Strategy, ensuring Customer Data aligns with Product, Market, and Consumer master domains — harmonizing market and channel definitions across providers and systems to enable downstream analytics and AI use cases. Ensure Customer Data is AI-ready by design — with robust quality, consistent structures, documented lineage, compliant usage rights, and clear semantic standards — so data can reliably fuel analytics, automation, and intelligent action in collaboration with I&A Home, IT, Legal, and others Multi-Market Responsibilities: Co-Shaping in defining and executing the multiple markets with focus on US and Canada Data & AI strategy and a focus on scalable, reusable data products, AI-enabled workflows, and measurable business outcomes. Translate global data domain strategies into effective execution in Focus markets US and Canada and provide market feedback to strengthen enterprise-wide direction. Support NA data governance, management, and quality for customer and procured data assets, partnering with IT to implement frameworks that ensure quality, security, and compliance with US and Canadian regulations. Experience with the Focus markets US and Canada commercial data landscape, including US healthcare data considerations, retail and pharmacy account structures, and multi-market data provider ecosystems. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority in a global matrix environment. Fluent English required; additional languages such as French or Spanish are an advantage.
