This role is pivotal for delivering healthcare through advanced telehealth solutions after an initial on-site orientation and training period. All shifts are 100% remote, offering a flexible work-from-home schedule. This part-time (0.6 FTE) position includes 24 hours per week, structured in 4-hour shifts available Monday to Friday, between 7 AM and 7 PM. Performance Standards: • Evaluate and treat conditions within the scope of Primary and Urgent Care, using good clinical judgment and adhering to established medical protocols deemed appropriate for telemedicine management. • Conduct professional and effective virtual acute care visits by utilizing best practices in telemedicine etiquette, including proper camera positioning, eye contact, professional attire, and distraction-free settings. Clearly communicate visit expectations, obtain consent, and foster patient trust through both verbal and non-verbal interactions. • Obtain patient histories, conduct thorough assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and ensuring appropriate follow-up on labs, orders, and referrals. • Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care, including demographics, diagnosis, and treatment plans, while adhering to telehealth regulatory and compliance standards. • Manage patient throughput and inbasket tasks efficiently to optimize clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction. • Work in close collaboration with the primary care team. • Educate patients and their families on diet, medications, lifestyle modifications, disease prevention, and health management using digital communication tools to enhance understanding and engagement in their care process. • Interact with department leadership, medical staff, and other departments and staff to resolve identified problems and report as necessary. • Maintain active licensure, CME requirements, and prescribing privileges while staying up to date on scope of practice, compliance standards, billing and coding regulations, prescribing practices, internal policies, and relevant state and federal legislation impacting APRN and PA practice.
