While we operate coast-to-coast, we are currently focused on filling this role in our Saratoga Springs, NY plant. Primary Purpose of the Position: Assists in the direction of assigned plant. Ensures the plant meets the group’s overall business plans and objectives. What will you be responsible for? • The overall safety and environmental performance in the plant by ensuring plant focus on programs, procedures and KPI’s in accordance with Ball safety/environmental programs. • Supports the selection, training, growth and development of shift and staff personnel to attain organizational goals. • Supports development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the food safety system. • Provides direction of plant operations for the manufacturing of group products in accordance with process and product specifications and quality standards, complying with contractual and/or customer requirements and meeting financial objectives. • Provides direction/support to plant operations to include production, engineering, quality, lean etc. • Facilitates and partners with all functions in the preparation of the plant’s operating budget. • Ensures the plant complies with all environmental regulations by maintaining effective environmental programs and maintains knowledge and awareness of environmental requirements. • Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility. • Supports positive employee relations in the plant, including with local/national union leadership, if applicable. • Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes. • Orchestrate activities, assignments and projects to maintain optimal level of customer service for both internal and external customers. What are we looking for? • High school diploma or GED with experience outlined below: • Candidates with equivalent practical experience in manufacturing or operations will also be considered. • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing or operations environment. This includes roles in production management, process improvement, engineering, supply chain, or other leadership positions within manufacturing settings. Additional experience in manufacturing or operations outside of these areas will also be considered, provided there is at least 5 years of directly related experience as outlined above. • At least 4 years of experience leading larger teams in manufacturing, preferably in high-speed manufacturing or packaging operations. Candidates with broad leadership experience in other high-volume 24/7 operations and like-production environments are also encouraged to apply. • This role is intended to be a pipeline for us for future Plant Manager positions that open across our US/CAN/Mexico Region, your willingness to relocate for future growth is essential to the success of this program. Preferred Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred. An MBA is highly desirable but not required. • Demonstrated successful experience using statistical and continuous improvement principles in manufacturing. • Highly matrixed/high growth organization experience. • Working knowledge of the following areas: company policies, procedures, and products; general administrative principles, practices, nomenclature, and procedures; generally accepted managerial practices and procedures; business principles, legal practices, customer needs and expectations, and manufacturing operations. • Ability to participate with functional counterparts within the organization at the earliest stages of planning/development to meet plant objectives; directing, allocating the plant’s resources, timing, etc. Compensation & Benefits: • This role is based in Saratoga Springs, NY. Primary Purpose of this Position: Contribute to the success of Ball by operationalizing delivery of all HR services to nominated functions. Under the guidance of the VP of HR, this role will act as an HR partner to the functional leadership teams, and is responsible for supporting strategic leadership capability, coaching Vice Presidents/Directors/Managers on organization-wide, people-related needs and ensuring seamless operational HR delivery for the areas they support. What will you be responsible for? • Align with Talent Development COE to execute talent management processes to include workforce planning, succession planning, and segmentation of people to identify high potential employees. • Serve as a trusted advisor and coach to build strategic leadership capability within our Supply Chain and Operations verticals. • Lead, coach and develop a globally dispersed team of two direct reports. • Lead the delivery and execution support of all operational HR activities for engaging all areas of the model as required through forming close partnership and relationships. • Ensure HR compliance with all policies, regulations and requirements in all domestic and international jurisdictions; provide advice, counsel and management of personnel and disciplinary operations, to ensure all laws are followed. • Support the identification and delivery of opportunities for harmonizing, standardizing and streamlining HR activities. • Monitor and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure business targets are achieved. • Support the development and implementation of HR programs and projects that enhance productivity and meet the business requirements and needs in alignment with the People Ambition. • Assess Organizational Design & Effectiveness to establish action plans in alignment with the enterprise people ambition and specific business imperatives.
