In this role you will: • Lead security integration: Develop and execute security assurance, governance, and risk management programs, ensuring they are deeply embedded into all phases of product development and aligned with company objectives. • Collaborate with product teams: Work closely with product management, engineering, and security teams to assess product risks, prioritize security initiatives, and implement strategic controls that protect both product integrity and user trust. • Drive external assessments: Oversee external security assessments and penetration tests, translating findings into actionable risk mitigation strategies that enhance product security. • Manage product risk: Lead the security risk management program with a focus on product-related risks, ensuring alignment with enterprise risk management efforts and compliance with industry regulations. • Monitor and report: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product and security risks, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making across the organization. Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, with a strong focus on cybersecurity, particularly within the context of product development. • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. • Proven experience leading large-scale security programs with an emphasis on integrating security into product development cycles. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional product teams. • Hands-on experience managing external security assessments and penetration tests, with the ability to translate technical findings into practical security improvements for products. • Hands-on experience directing product development. Desirable Qualifications: • Advanced certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GIAC-PEN, CISM, or equivalent, demonstrating expertise in cybersecurity and product risk management. • Experience building and scaling security programs from the ground up, particularly in product-focused environments or industries with stringent security requirements. • Strong knowledge of industry security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2, NIST, GDPR), with proven experience ensuring product compliance. • Proven ability to lead organizational change, especially in implementing new security processes within product teams. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in a product context. The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$262,000. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. We’re searching for a Technical Product & Program manager who will work with our Autonomy Sensing team. In this role, you will Lead large cross-functional programs that are predominantly driven by Autonomy Sensing/Perception engineering scope. This includes programs to expand the Aurora Driver’s Weather ODD and to expand Perception capabilities as the Aurora Driver operates on more advanced hardware kits and scales to new geographies. Deeply understand the company-level roadmap and translate this into a Sensing/Perception technical roadmap with clear milestones and metrics. Deeply understand customer and business needs and use this understanding to prioritize work across the Sensing/Perception organization. Help facilitate tradeoff discussions based on awareness of engineering effort and product needs (ROI awareness). Own the overlap of technical roadmaps among partner teams within Autonomy Sensing including: Perception, Machine Learning Data Engine, and Sensor Simulation to define the required evolution of data sourcing, simulation, model training, and testing. Ensure this roadmap allows the team to deliver on company level goals. Provide strategic guidance on make/buy data decisions. Influence a strategy for real world sourcing versus simulation by exploring all available options and presenting possible solutions. Author PRDs to define product requirements for the Sensing/Perception team. Define new metrics and dashboards to improve how we measure and track execution. Own program schedules, program reviews, and executive communications. Identify key bottlenecks within Autonomy Sensing from both a staffing perspective as well as a process perspective. Propose solutions for eliminating bottlenecks and accelerating output. Serve as a thought leader in both the Product Management and Program Management space by providing best-in-class PM and TPM leadership, mentorship, and product/program execution. Understand technical implementation at the architectural level and propose technical alternatives when necessary; ask questions that clarify priorities and push the team to be effective. Required Qualifications Minimum of 7 years experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer in an autonomous systems, robotics, machine learning, or software development environment. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Information Systems or a related area, or the equivalent in experience with evidence of exceptional ability preferred. A strong familiarity with robotics or computer vision systems and their architecture or broad background with ML or data systems. Solid technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, software development lifecycle, challenges and risks; ability to work closely with engineers.
