People & Operations Associate

AURORAAnywhereFull-time
View Job
Compensation$70K - 120K a year

Manage internal people operations, performance systems, and foster a high-trust team culture, partnering with founders on strategic initiatives. | Early in career (3-8 years), highly organized, emotionally intelligent, adaptable, and ambitious to grow into leadership in people operations. | About the position Aurora is building a new category: an AI-native lifestyle operating system for the world’s highest-performing individuals. To do that, we’re assembling an equally exceptional internal team: small, elite, and obsessed with excellence. We’re now hiring our first People & Operations Associate to work directly alongside Aurora’s COO. This is a rare, ground-floor opportunity to embed a high-performance culture, shaping how Aurora hires, operates, and performs as we scale. The role reports directly to Aurora’s Co-Founder & COO and has clear potential to grow rapidly into a leadership position spanning Operations and People. Responsibilities • Own Aurora’s people operations and internal infrastructure end to end, spanning performance management, HR systems, hardware and tools. • Manage Aurora’s performance management system, including scorecards, reviews, and tracking that give founders and managers clear, real-time visibility. • Foster an engaging, high-trust team culture, owning initiatives such as milestone recognition, internal rituals, and programs that strengthen connection and morale. • Partner directly with the founders on execution, owning cross-functional special projects such as team offsites, strategy sessions, internal planning cycles, and ad hoc operational initiatives. • Operate Aurora’s hiring and onboarding processes, coordinating with function leads to establish hiring pipelines, assessment mechanics, and interview flow, and ensuring seamless employee onboarding. • Run core finance-adjacent people operations, including expense management, policy adherence, and early flagging of anomalies or inefficiencies. Requirements • You’re early in your career (~3–8 years of experience) and have operated inside a professional, high-expectation environment. • Exceptionally organized. You’re borderline obsessive about order, clarity, and follow-through. You take pride in building systems that run cleanly and reliably. • Emotionally intelligent. You understand individual needs and team dynamics, and you believe strong culture is built through clear expectations, consistent standards, and accountability. • Willing to roll up your sleeves. You’re comfortable jumping between strategic work and hands-on execution, and you take real ownership of whatever needs to get done to keep the team moving. • Comfortable with chaos. You can prioritize and re-prioritize quickly in an early-stage environment where requirements shift and ambiguity is constant. • Ambitious and growth-oriented. You see this role as a platform to grow into a leadership position in people operations over time as the company scales. Benefits • Competitive salary with uncapped performance-based bonus • Founding stock options package • Flexible remote days • Lifestyle access perks and access to exclusive events & Aurora services • Whoop or Oura Ring on us • \$2,000 annual education budget • Longevity subscription • Whatever tech you need to do your best work • Generous parental leave • Comprehensive health benefits, with 90% coverage, including dental and vision
