This Opportunity provides project accounting and financial specialist support and guidance to a project team. How will you contribute to the team? • Responsible for lifecycle project accounting from project initiation through project close-out. Create projects in Oracle, track project progress and budgets, validate billing in support of PM and FSSC, initiate financial project close-out, reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and Unbilled/Unearned Services. • Participate in project accounting kick-off meetings, particularly for large and red zone projects, to ensure that client billing requirements are proactively documented and addressed. Drive Subconsultant flow-down of billing requirements. • Partner with the Project Manager and project team to establish the initial project budget, and update budgets as needed when contract modifications or budget changes arise. • Understand and verify contract and contract variations including change order terms and amendments as they relate to funding. Maintain Oracle contract funding and archive contract documents for internal and external audit support. • Work independently to manage own project portfolio. Analyze project cost and revenue, ensuring accurate project profit and loss calculations. Review BAC, EAC and ETC values on the PSR and dashboards; evaluate project KPIs for any items that need to be escalated for review by the Project Manager. • Analyze unbilled transactions; collaborate with Project Financial Managers and Finance Director to resolve unbilled revenue issues that prevent invoicing client. Create and workflow Credit Memos and Invoice Cancellations for approval. • For large or complicated projects, responsible for ensuring draft invoices from billing agents follow contract requirements, identifying any corrections needed, obtaining Project Manager documentation and approval. Monitor billing team service level agreements and billing schedules. • Support subcontract management and coordinate with Subcontract Administrators. This includes review of purchase orders for subconsultants and follow up on subcontractor payment requests with Accounts Payable. • Provide guidance to Billing Agents on the transfer of project costs in compliance with US established accounting practices and guidelines. • Maintain project data flex fields (PFFs) ensuring data quality, control standards, and procedures are in place to facilitate financial reporting. • Attend project review meetings to inform the team regarding the status of project financials, articulating problem projects and following up on any identified actions as discussed. • Remain current in latest project accounting principles, software applications and subject matter. • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources. • Conduct, and adhere to Company Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. How will you contribute to the team? Is responsible for the financial health of projects, quality control, and all aspects of a projects. Is able to interface with clients and regulatory agencies with little to no oversight, including representing AtkinsRéalis’ multidisciplinary capabilities to airport clients, assisting the client in their development and execution of airport capital improvement program projects, from project conceptual planning, grant application support, preliminary and final design of project bidding plans and specifications, construction administration, and overseeing project inspection and quality assurance testing. Performs airfield or landside project design oversight, reviews sketches, and design concepts developed by engineers, subconsultants, CAD designers or technicians. Plans and reviews the production of engineering drawings and specifications. Plans and reviews the production of engineering investigations or planning work. Reviews and evaluates developed plans and criteria for new projects, weighing alternatives and selecting the most cost-effective solution. Analyzes technical problems, assessing the feasibility of proposed techniques and procedures, and devising new approaches and alternative solutions. Analyzes project scope and prepares or oversees the preparation of cost and manpower estimates, schedules, and job budgets. Coordinates work with lead technical engineers, and guides and mentors’ junior professionals and technical personnel on the design and drafting of preliminary and final plans. May occasionally travel to project locations in and out of the United States. Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary. Coordination efforts with the TDOT – Aeronautics Division and the FAA on project grant requests, inspections, and construction administration services. What will you contribute? B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field. A minimum of 8 year of relevant aviation related civil engineering or project management experience is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. A knowledge of or experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus. Proven technical writing and communication skills.
