A Typical Week May Look Like This… * Own the strategy, performance, and P&L for AFP Membership, with accountability for revenue, growth, retention, expenses, resources, and results. * Advance a best-in-class member experience by strengthening AFP’s products, benefits, and engagement opportunities across the membership lifecycle. * Lead cross-functional teams in shaping and delivering a competitive, compelling membership value proposition, including the value bundle, pricing, and benefits. * Use audience insights, performance data, and market trends to guide decisions, optimize strategy, and maximize impact. * Provide strategic oversight for AFP’s community platform and learning management systems, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and high-value experience. * Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team while fostering innovation, accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence. * Align membership initiatives with AFP’s organizational priorities, market needs, and global opportunities. * Represent AFP professionally with internal and external stakeholders and contribute to other strategic and operational priorities as needed. Is This You? * Demonstrated success leading membership, customer, audience, product, subscription, or engagement strategy with measurable growth and retention outcomes. * Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing revenue goals, budgets, expenses, resources, and business performance. * A data-informed approach and the ability to translate audience insights, performance metrics, and market trends into action. * Experience developing and optimizing value propositions, pricing, benefits, products, or engagement programs. * Strong people leadership skills, including the ability to inspire, coach, develop, and hold teams accountable. * A collaborative leadership style and the ability to influence across functions, build alignment, and communicate with clarity and authenticity. * Comfort leading change, solving complex problems, and moving between long-term strategy and hands-on execution. * Strong technical fluency and confidence working with community, learning, CRM, analytics, or related digital platforms. A Typical Week May Look Like This… • Own and evolve AFP's enterprise product strategy across learning, membership, credentials, events, and digital products. • Develop and maintain a customer-informed product roadmap aligned with organizational strategy and revenue goals. • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Membership, Technology, Finance, Analytics, and Professional Development to bring new products and enhancements to market. • Analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights to identify new growth opportunities. • Drive product lifecycle management, including pricing, positioning, business cases, and success metrics. • Monitor portfolio performance and recommend improvements to maximize growth, profitability, and member value. • Lead strategic planning discussions and help prioritize initiatives across the organization. • Coach and develop a high-performing product strategy team while fostering collaboration and accountability. Is This You? • 10+ years of progressive experience leading product strategy, product management, or portfolio management. • Demonstrated success developing and launching revenue-generating products or services. • Strong financial and business acumen, including pricing, forecasting, and business case development. • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing executive stakeholders. • Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills. • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. • Association, education, credentialing, SaaS, or professional services experience is a plus.
