About the role We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate Armada’s global network infrastructure supporting modular, edge, and distributed data center environments. This role owns network architecture, complex troubleshooting, and technical leadership across routing, switching, firewalling, modern data center fabrics, and GPU-accelerated compute networks. The Senior Network Engineer partners closely with the NOC, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance networks supporting core, edge, and GPU-enabled deployments. Location. This role is remote-based in the US. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Network Architecture & Design: Design and maintain scalable network architectures for edge, modular, and distributed data center environments. Define standards for routing, switching, firewalling, segmentation, and redundancy. Design and operate modern data center network fabrics, including: VXLAN / EVPN-based overlay networks Underlay routing protocols (e.g., BGP, IS-IS, OSPF) Spine–leaf architectures and high-availability designs Define overlay / underlay separation, IP addressing strategies, and multi-tenant segmentation models. Design and support GPU and high-performance compute (HPC) network architectures, including: High-bandwidth, low-latency fabrics for GPU clusters East–west traffic optimization for distributed compute workloads Define network designs to support AI/ML, inference, and GPU-accelerated workloads, accounting for throughput, latency, jitter, and congestion characteristics. Collaborate with compute and platform teams to align GPU topology, network fabric design, and workload placement. Own network design documentation including HLDs, LLDs, diagrams, and IP plans. Evaluate new technologies and vendors to support edge, remote, data center, and GPU-enabled deployments. Implementation & Operations (L3) Implement and support advanced L3 network services, including routing, firewall policies, VPNs, VXLAN/EVPN fabrics, and GPU-supporting network designs. Lead complex troubleshooting involving: Overlay/underlay interaction issues Control-plane instability Data-plane forwarding anomalies Latency, packet loss, congestion, and convergence issues Implement and troubleshoot networks supporting GPU clusters and accelerated workloads, including: High-throughput spine–leaf fabrics East–west traffic patterns and microburst behavior Diagnose and resolve network performance issues impacting GPU workloads, including congestion, packet loss, and latency sensitivity. Serve as the final escalation point for the NOC and infrastructure teams. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent corrective actions for recurring or systemic issues. Define and enforce engineering standards for production network changes. Edge & Remote Connectivity Design and support hybrid connectivity models including ISP, LTE/5G, satellite, and private links. Ensure reliable and secure connectivity for remote, industrial, and mission-critical edge sites. Optimize network performance for latency-sensitive, bandwidth-constrained, and intermittently connected environments. Security & Segmentation Design and enforce network segmentation across IT, OT, management, and customer-facing domains. Implement and maintain firewall policies, VPNs, and secure remote access solutions. Partner with security teams to align network architectures with security, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Automation, Tooling & Reliability Develop and maintain automation for network provisioning, validation, and configuration consistency. Improve monitoring, alerting, and observability in partnership with the NOC. Drive reliability improvements, fault isolation, and MTTR reduction through design, automation, and standards. Collaboration & Technical Leadership Mentor NOC technicians and junior network engineers. Partner with product, infrastructure, platform, and field teams during deployments and lifecycle planning. Provide technical leadership during major incidents, change reviews, and post-incident analysis. Contribute to long-term network strategy and roadmap planning. Required Qualifications US Citizenship 7+ years experience in network engineering or infrastructure roles. Strong expertise in routing, switching, and firewall technologies. Hands-on experience operating complex L3 networks in production. Proven ability to troubleshoot overlay, underlay, and performance-related network issues. Strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent. Hands-on experience with VXLAN / EVPN and spine–leaf data center architectures. Experience designing or operating networks for GPU clusters, AI/ML, or high-performance computing environments. Automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform). About the Role The Federal Operations Manager plays a critical role in ensuring Armada’s success across federal customers by owning contract execution after award and translating signed deals into delivered outcomes. This role blends operational leadership, technical fluency, and customer engagement to ensure federal projects are executed on time, on budget, and to the highest performance standards. The Federal Operations Manager serves as the primary execution lead for multiple concurrent federal projects across civilian agencies and defense-adjacent organizations. They interface directly with federal customers during kickoff, execution, and closeout, while coordinating closely with Armada’s sales, product, engineering, finance, and partner teams to deliver Atlas SaaS, Galleon IaaS, AI-enabled edge solutions—or integrated combinations of all three. This role is instrumental in building trust with federal customers, maintaining operational excellence, ensuring compliance, and identifying opportunities to expand scope and value during execution. Location. This role is remote in the continental United States. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Project & Contract Execution Own post-award execution for multiple federal contracts, ensuring delivery against Statements of Work (SOWs), timelines, milestones, and performance objectives. Lead project kickoffs with federal customers, establishing clear expectations, governance structures, and communication cadences. Manage end-to-end execution across Atlas SaaS deployments, Galleon edge infrastructure, AI/edge compute solutions, or hybrid offerings. Customer Engagement & Delivery Act as Armada’s primary operational interface with federal customers during project execution. Build strong, trust-based relationships with government program managers, CORs, and technical stakeholders. Ensure customer satisfaction through disciplined execution, proactive issue resolution, and transparent communication. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate across product, engineering, sales, finance, logistics, and partner teams to deliver integrated solutions. Translate customer requirements into actionable execution plans and ensure internal teams remain aligned and accountable. Support sales teams during execution by identifying upsell, expansion, and follow-on opportunities. Operational Management & Reporting Track and manage schedules, deliverables, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent projects. Own project-level reporting, including status updates, milestone tracking, performance metrics, and executive summaries. Monitor contract financials, including burn rates, invoicing milestones, payments, and margin performance in partnership with finance. Compliance, Risk & Process Management Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements, security protocols, and applicable regulations. Identify and mitigate operational, technical, and schedule risks. Maintain accurate documentation to support audits, reviews, and contract closeout activities. Process Improvement & Scale Identify operational inefficiencies and implement repeatable processes and best practices to scale federal delivery. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 4–7 years of experience in operations, program management, or project delivery for federal customers.
