Manage a middle school homeroom, teach ELA and/or Religion, and collaborate with staff. | Requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, Michigan Teaching certificate, and teaching experience, preferably in middle school. | St. Mary Catholic School is seeking a dedicated educator to serve as a Middle School English Language Arts (ELA) and/or Religion teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The teacher will foster a supportive, academically rigorous environment that encourages students to grow in both faith and knowledge. This role requires strong classroom management and a commitment to a collaborative working environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Elementary, middle school, or high school teaching experience. • English Language Arts teaching experience. • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or the equivalent. • Current Michigan Teaching certificate. Job Responsibilities: • Keep appropriate records of student progress, grades, etc. • Communicates with parents regarding student progress and behavior. • Responsible for one middle school homeroom and all related homeroom activities. • Maintain a safe, comfortable and clean classroom environment. • Actively manage classroom behavior and expectations. • Performs all other necessary professional requirements such as maintaining an active teaching license, attending professional development, etc. • Participate in all ELA Department meetings • Collaborate with their teacher team. • Other duties as assigned.
