We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Data Engineer to oversee the technical design and implementation of data solutions, champion best practices in data management, and lead a team of developers. This role is critical in ensuring that our data initiatives align with business goals and that robust technical plans are in place to support our roadmap. We are seeking a remote employee based in either the Raleigh, NC or Jersey City, NJ areas. Candidates must be available to participate in onsite interviews at one of these locations in order to be considered. Key Responsibilities Lead the team in the process design, technical architecture, and engineering practices on new implementations and day to day support and operations. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team through knowledge sharing and day to day activities (design & code reviews, story/requirements definition, writing/maintaining wiki knowledge base) Ensure adherence to the company's architecture, data governance, quality, and security standards and create standards for the team where the broader company standards do not cover a specific area Collaborate with product owner/managers and stakeholders to align data initiatives with the product roadmap. Manage the complete implementation team (engineers, QA, and BSA) Keep data projects on track with defined milestones and deliverables including raising risks with suggestions on how to mitigate, work around, or resolve them Foster a collaborative culture by promoting data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles. Strong expertise in SQL (MSSQL or Snowflake preferred) and ETL platforms (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or Informatica) Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to articulate and demonstrate prior examples of implementing Proven experience leading technical teams and managing complex data projects. Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Enterprise Architect to develop the technology strategy for the services they oversee. This role involves developing technology architectures, maintaining technology roadmaps, simplifying technology through consolidation, rationalization, and eliminating technical debt. The Senior Architect will work closely with other Architects within the enterprise. This is a hybrid role, where employees are expected to come into the our Raleigh or Jersey City offices, twice-a-week.
