Manage contract administration and vendor engagements for capital projects, ensuring compliance, cost control, and accurate documentation. | Bachelor's degree and up to 5 years experience in business or related field, detail-oriented with proficiency in business software and preferably SAP Ariba. | OVERVIEW: Provides guidance in the control and administration of contracts supporting Capital Projects, Engineering, and Technical Services Department operations. Key tasks include data gathering, contract planning, contract administration and vendor engagements managing the business of the agreement. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: • Key contact for capital project teams when utilizing corporate services while co-located with project contractor(s). • Assists with contracting and financial compliance matters. • Gathers or administratively reviews contracting plans which identifies how the contract will be developed from the initial planning stage to develop a contract action for procurement platform. Key areas of focus involve identification of financial terms, clear scopes of work, key milestones, and application of cost control measures to assure acceptance and execution of a contract action. • Monitor Contract Action Requests to address any issues • during function review from procurement, finance, or legal functions. • Develops Purchasing Requisitions and/or Purchase Orders related to agreements and engages with outside vendors. • Closes Purchase Orders with vendors at the completion of work. • Processes and applies cost control to vendor payments as related to procurement of goods and services. • Generate reports and prepare presentations related to contractual matters within the department. • Coordinates with other departments in securing support for project needs. • Performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or closely related field • 0-5 years of experience preferred • Detail oriented with the ability to meticulously check all aspects of work to ensure accuracy and consistency • Highly organized and able to effectively manage schedule • Ability to analyze various factors and use good judgment to make sound recommendations and decisions • Proficient with business software applications; experience with SAP Ariba for the procurement of contract agreements would be beneficial • Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely in English NO THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES ACCEPTED; TEMPORARY POSITION ANTICIPATED TO LAST APPROXIMATELY ONE YEAR

Typical activities include: • Work with SRM/Sourcing contacting suppliers to register on Ariba • Identify new companies with new technologies for sourcing • Help with supplier registration and unit reporting Summer Student Contracting Opportunity Summer students will work closely with P&SCM professional to learn about our contracting operations.
